Down Firing Sub DIY

Hello Fellow AVS Members..

I have been reviewing and reading many DIY Sub builds and some are just great. The thing I am finding is many of 18" subs. I am looking for a down throwing DIY Sub Design that will provide nice bass fill; music/movie; in the rear of my theater. I don't want it to large and plan to make it look like a old shipping crate to flow with the old theme I have in the room.

I have been reading the VBSS and Marty Cube but any that wouldn't be so large down firing?

Ultimax sealed flat pack. Mount some 4” feet on the front. Buy a NX3000D. Win.

A Marty Cube is too big but 4cf is too small? Are you Goldilocks?

I'm kidding. I figured jevchance meant to link this one:

You can also do 15" in 3cf:

Or 12" in 2cf:
