Who's built the HTM-1010

Where are the pics? I saw 1 review on DIYSG but haven't seen a pic in the wild of a single one.

Surely someone has built these.

That's unfortunate. And with all the demand for horizontal centers (among the guilty) to go with the DIYSG designs surprising to me as well.

I hope you're able to re-purpose the investment into other existing/new designs if they don't sell as the 1010.

Sub builds: Yet another Infinity 1260 build | Twins! | Modified V.B.S.S. build | UM12-22 builds | AV stand and sealed UM18s

Speaker builds: DIYSG HTM-10 build | DIYSG Volt-6 build | DIYSG Fusion-8 builds

Looks like the HTM 1010 is pretty similar to the Cinema 10.... finally, a horizontal Cinema 10??!?!

The one review was in September. I don't think these have been on the site very long.

I could be wrong, but I think a center channel with 10" woofers, making it 12+" high is too big for most folks' living rooms. Not an issue for dedicated theaters, but many of them can use vertical centers.

Don't get me wrong...time and effort was put into the design and I hope it sells well. I just feel like a lot of folks who require a horizontal center are limited on height.

I'd like to see a quad 6.5" design 2.5 way, which would keep the height under 8". Capability should be better than an MTM 8" woofer design, and just a little under a dual 10" center. Sensitivity should be crazy good with four 93 dB or so woofers(99 dB). Cost should be reasonable when you compare to something like the Klipsch RC-64 III which sells for $1500 and is only 93 dB. If I thought I had the time and ability to invest in such a project, I'd do it myself. But I fear I'm lacking on both departments.

coupla things . . .

" making it 12+" high is too big "

BLASPHEMY , Yeah! . . .
No . . .
though it could be a personal call. . .

and a pair also at only 6+' from the MLP,
very convincing as surrounds- with some a aiming and such

Breaking Bad , the BD disks and the upmixed sound-

totally

reviving ( only) the F4Q4 make take some sleuthing about- designer is Curt Cambell
no doubt he has all specs, etc.
which leaves pretty much just basic carpentry/ router work for the baffle
I'd love to get another for the mancave CC,
tho the F6 has no complaints

we need a Sherlock . . .

Erich said they were having difficulties finding an 8 inch driver that would work for the HTM center channel speaker so that is why the 10 inch driver and the box ended up being 12 inches high.

For a build and review of a lower profile DIY center (9 inches high and you might be able to shave that down a bit) and quad 7 inch woofers with a tweeter and mid-range drivers:

Unfortunately, kit doesn't come with cabinets.

Some graphs on page 4. I assume more details are available if you actually buy the kit
