Dayton UM12 build

Hello everyone, I have decided to venture into the HT subwoofer build world
the first. The first thing I did was read every single thread I could find before making this one. I have many questions and any help would. be much appreciated

so to start off I have chosen a Dayton Audio UM12 for my subwoofer, I chose it. Because I live in an apartment building and a 15 is just too big for the room
I have chosen to go the plate amp route because I want to keep this an all in one build I know it's not the best like having an INUKE.

AMPS I'm looking at:
Yung SD500 500W
Bash 500S
Dayton Audio SPA500
what amp would you guys recommend?

Questions are based on my rough design for a sub box. I designed it pretty specifically to Dayton's recommendations.

No supports or back plate cut out shown just for simplicity

int Box volume: 4.11 ft3 (.11 is to make sure the volume of sub and fill is taken into account)
the port is exactly to Dayton specs 10 inches wide 1.5 tall and 25 long

1.so with the port and box size I used would I have a tuning of 19hz like Dayton suggests.
2. what can I improve this design? I feel as tho this design is to small for the port.
3. the port is 1 inch from the back wall should I move it farther away?
4. if I make this box out of hardwood instead of MDF will it causes lots of resonance?
5. does the port have to be 25 inches if

please let me know if any other info in needed

don't feel that plate amps are a compromise of diminished return

I added a minidsp 2x4 for my 3 THTLP's each on a BASH 300 - after almost 6 years, using 15" drivers HO390's (?), iirc

1. looked at the fool in the mirror and asked him , DUDE!- WTF?!?

2. it should have been a minidsp 2x4HD

but for a 10 x 10 room, it's tough to make a good good argument for Yeah! - but . . . .

HTH

MDF is that's your only choice
ply is so much more clean, better holding power for things like kreg screws, lighter,
hardwood you might have to glue up. generally avoided it at all possible
want it pretty?
that's a different problem

the finer aspects of actual specs wrt tuning, port, velocity I leave to resident gurus

I have been using my Oaudio Bash 500w plate amp together with a sealed SI HT 18 for a some years now, and the amp is solid.

Only tick i have about mine is that the electrical intake aka where you put the power cord is leaky when pressing the sub a bit hard.
I only noticed this when doing a 20hz sine wave...

Also, have you modeled in winisd to make sure you don't have to high air speed through that vent?

My 2.1: Minidsp2x4 HD,Hypex UCD400HxR,SI HT-18,HTM-10
HTM 10 build

for the leak on the bash have you tried sealing it with something like epoxy?, it really seems like its my best bang for buck option.

i have a mac book and so unless i wanna run boot camp i cant run winsd so is there a online program that i can use?

@GabeLamphere not sure 250w is enough power but the Dayton Audio spa250 w/dsp is supposed to be a great amp and can save you having to get the minidsp 2x4 with those other amps?
