I’m finally getting into this build. I have the 1st box started. I put the top, a side and the front together. And mocked up the port rails, baffle and port bottom. So far all I can say is excellent cut list, plans, and pics to make this a simple build. It’s gonna be easy!

Couple more pics. Got my circles cut and notched the front port rails.

Thanks. I glue and screw. It’s the fastest for me. Couple more pics. I’m joining the ‘it’s starting to look like a devastator’ club.

I just got my system calibrated with the Minis, they sound really good. Almost have a wood tone to them. They should really add to your setup!

I’m excited. We will see if I like this much midbass. I’m looking forward to hooking one of these up in the next couple days. I’m glad i thought of tracing the outside of the woofer on the baffle back when I could see that it was centered on the cone, from the front. It would’ve been impossible to line up had I forgot that step. Wow that was a long sentence. I’ve also done all the port rail notches and baffle circle cutout for the second cab while I was at it for the 1st. So the second cab will go faster.

I have a box! The thought I keep having is this thing is a micro? Lol it’s pretty big. But real cool looking. I’m up to the bracing point and that should go quick. I won’t be able to work on these for a while again though.

I’m guessing that would loose you a little on the low end. And your setup is already completely crazy. Well, let me know. If your current cabs make it to the curb I want them.

I really just want to make one just to hear it and measure it first and then do a A/B comparison between what I already have. The graphs John has posted is crazy with the amount of output they have. It’s fun to change stuff up like Jared is doing and adding more bass in the room. Pain is good with bass

For normal listening levels that I have tested quite a bit this week, these things are smooth really smooth. I loved how smooth the 21DS115 was ported, but the Devastator is another step up from that.

That would be awesome. It would really enlighten those who are curious or on the fence about building a ported cab or a devastator for their 21. Who better to do this than the Pioneer of the 21

I’d like to do a pair after hearing yours. It’s really tempting. I wonder if the SI HT15s would model well in minis? The lil wrecker was designed for them and that’s a form of a horn, right?

Yes the lil wrecker is a horn. I would reach out to @redfive and see how it models in the mini.

Last few build pics.
I just have to glue and screw everything in. I’m loving this design. Fun as I’ve ever imagined to put together. And just with the woofer sitting on the cab without even being screwed in, or the backs on the bass makes my drop ceiling rattle. Lol two of these with 2000 watts will be unbearable.

Got one done! Just with stealing the signal from one of the other subs in the room and plugging this thing in, you can really feel the extra mid bass. I can’t wait to get these completed and both hook up. Please excuse the temporary lack of a speakon.

I pulled out my new 20K last night and hooked it up to existing subs. It’s pretty sweet. I like the new fan design. It pulls air in the sides past the caps, and 8 fans push it out the back. They are loud as a freight train though.

Dual Devastator micro build

Second one is really taking shape. The second is always 4 times faster. I always do all the cutting, notching, circle holes and so on for both as I see what needs to be done on the first cab.

By tomorrow my friend. I neglected to order speakon connectors for the boxes, and they will be here tomorrow. I wish I had the patience of Mike, so I could take another week and fill screw holes, sand, roundover, prime and paint these. They would look so sweet with the @eng-399 treatment.
