HT12 cover troubles

Had my daughter test her soldering skills and assemble all 3 crossovers. First one worked fine but the last two both are reading neg across both hp terminals. Advice?

The inductor leads need to be soldered on the pre-tinned ends. If you trimmed those leads shorter you need to scrape off the thin red coating/insulation before you solder them otherwise you won't get a good connection.

That was the issue on the first one, easy to find and correct. She's learning. These have been a great project so far. Some rough moments with contact cement and tinning an iron but it's going well.

@backwoods 99

How do you like the HT12's? I'm really interested in hearing since I'm close to buying 3 of them.

Thanks,

Dave

I have another thread about them. Once I get all the kinks worked out, I'll get you details on the performance. pa speakers especially seem to have stiff suspensions and take some break in time. So far, I think these are going to be a great investment. I'll give some comparisons soon.
