QSC SC-2150 vs 1099

Hi all, I´m outside US so hear speakers by myself is impossible I have always bought everything based in opinions and I´m wondering if anyone have the possibility to hear both this speakers.

I currently have 1099 but thinking about "upgrading" to the QSC, is this really an upgrade or just a lateral move? my theater is 7.8x4.8x2.8 meters

Thanks

In my opinion its definitely a upgrade for sure I've heard both and own the qsc 2150s. Whats your main use. Movies or music.

Yeah the qsc2150s are way more dynamic. You won't regret your decision one bit switching to them. The room looks great and especially with it being a larger room the qsc2150s will shine even more.

I have heard both as well and both mine after hearing @hd0823 at his GTG. They are crystal clear, very dynamic can handle anything you throw at them with easy, it’s a no brainer in my opinion.

The one thing you want to be able to do is to keep them a minimum of 5’ apart from tweeter to tweeter. These speakers have a very wide sound stage so you get a good panning with sound when the sound goes from left to right or the other way.

They´re going to be behind a 135" screen so I don´t think that´s doable, maximum distance would be around 2.85 (87cm) from tweeter to tweeter unless I place the LR outside the screen (is this a good idea?)

Mine are little less mine sit behind my screen which is 12ft wide and still sound great . Wider would be better but not a deal breaker.

I´m not planning to add wides I can place the speakers outside the screen I was reading a forum here saying there´s no problem as long they are the same height?

QSC SC-2150 vs 1099

Sorry I should of been a little more specific, they don’t have to be exactly 5 feet but as Jeremy said the wider the better. So putting them outside the screen would be beneficial for sure, you just don’t want the sound seem like it’s coming from one spot in your front stage.

Mira esto tambien.....QSC sweetness! https://www.avsforum.com/forum/19-de...-approves.html

All men dream: but not equally. Those who dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds wake in the day to find that it was vanity: but the dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they may act their dreams with open eyes, to make it possible.

Yeah they can be had used usually for really good prices. I ended up only having 1300 into mine after freight costs.
