That is a good start ( I used it ) to get more in depth look in the SUbwoofer Bass Transducer section then look for the Tactical Response thread. The boss is okay but thru testing the hover boss is much better. While my 18's are great as far as TR goes they just do not compare my system is on a whole new level.

Marantz SR-6013, Klipsch F-300 w/Samson SX-2400's Rear Surrounds: Klipsch F-300 w/Behringer EPX-2800, Atmos: 2 pairs DIYSG Volt 6's w/Behringer Nuke 3000 and EP-2000
SUBS:SI HST-18's 8cuft Dual Opposed cabinet w/ Bossobass A14K, 2 SI DS4's each in 7cuft Sealed cabinet w/ Bossobass IT-8000, 4 Infinity 1262's HB and 2 JBL's HB both pwrd by nu6000

If this makes sense?
https://www.avsforum.com/forum/113-s...-bass-120.html

Read a few pages back and you will see how testing was done on the different BOSS configurations. I just switched from using 1 inner tube per drvr to 2 big difference. My 18's are great but when it comes to TR the 12's out perform. Some suggest using Hudson ISO's on Amazon 45 for 8 but what works for me and much cheaper tennis balls. 2.50 can of 3 if they are too stiff cut them almost in half the weight of sofa plus whoever sits will compress these down so the sealed tubes good contact with floor but not to point the sub cant move my guess approx. 1".( also using miniDSP 2x4HD w/BEQ ) A good example the opening scene of The Invisible Man w/ my setup you can feel the waves coming from behind you going over your head crashing into the rocks. Impressive!!! Watched The Rise of Skywalker its a good movie as it is but now its great. Some of the scenes with the battles going on even with you sitting on sofa it shakes hard enough you can see and feel it. If your one to chase single digits and funds are limited this is a fairly cheap option. Most cannot hear below 15hz give or take so unless your like some with lots of subs and amps ( lots of money spent ) so you can hear it this is a good option. I like it because in the evening I can turn 18's off still have the HB on and since it produces no SPL I still get the same effects w/o disturbing anyone. Wish I did this awhile ago!!
