Thanks so much for the heads up. Ive already gotten my dual RLp18's so I should be set for some time. I know there are a few out there waiting to decide and this should be incentive enough.

Thanks again for the heads up.

Dude, seriously, that is kind of screwed up. I know you're a minor and your parents control you, but even mine wouldn't have told me when I could or couldn't spend my money.

Well, unless I was trying to run a drug dealing operation in the basement. They might have stepped in then.

I can't say that it's unexpected with what's happened with TC Sounds pricing. They obviously aren't going to build drivers for another retailer such that the other retailer can seriously undercut them on pricing on similar products. I can't say it's BS. I am actually surprised it took this long for the prices to go up.

I just wish the supreme series 15" had more appropriate T/S specs.

Ah, really! Then we would have a reletively low priced LMS woofer to play with. Agh! Why must the Qts be so high? Oh and while they're at it...*cough cough* 18 inch w/ LMS, pls. *cough cough*

It will be interesting to see where the chips have fallen 12 months from now; given the targeted market segment, I really don't see this new direction being a success.

Well, at any rate, most of us will still be here after Audiopulse 'flatlines'__________

I've been sitting on the fence as I'm really curious to see Exodus' 18" xbl entry; sigh, I hate exercising patience. Two more weeks of tire kicking, then I may have to call Mike.

Its just amazing to see a company like TC increase their prices that much. I realize they are planning to enter the brick and mortar market, but the cost to them is a good portion of their DIY customers. To grow it seems they must abandon those who put them in a position to grow. Its not SS having to increase prices i disagree with, considering the falling US dollar which increases prices of parts etc, and inflation. Its TC Sounds sudden change of direction. I agree with Larry about the DIY market still being here after their attempt flops. Whether or not it flops is the deciding factor.

All you can really do is wait it out, and allot just a little more money for future projects. That would seem to be an absolute most though, no room for downsizing or sidestepping here.

I just started looking into doing a sonosub and was checking out these drivers. The other day I looked at them again, saw the price, wondered what happened, and was bummed out . What were they originally priced at??

Depends on what driver you wanted...

IIRC, the RLp15's were about $275ish and the the 18 was about $350 for a single. $325 for more than one.

Me too. I wouldn't be able to use them for quite awhile (due to space) and I'm still thinking about it.

I was thinking if I could never take my huge boxes anywhere I would have to *burp* make em sealed "temporarily".

If you KNOW you want them you could save some money by getting them now. If you were gonna get two thats about $100 saved.

Well, by the time I'd be ready to use them, I'm sure another 18" will come along, rivaling the RL-p18. Maybe the Exodus XJ-18? I've got to buy a house first, then build my sLLT's.

If I could get them for 650/pr, I'd buy them, and resell them on here later when someone might need them.
