Outdoor Theater on a Budget

Hi All,

It has been a while since I visited these forums - about 13 years in fact! I'm looking to set up a home theater in my outdoor living room. This is a covered area, which receives very little direct sunlight during the day, but a decent amount in the evening, as the most exposed area faces west.

I'm looking to spend about $1K. I need:
-Projector - Must connect to fire stick, project bright enough for at least mediocre daytime performance (if this is possible)
-Screen - I can mount a pull-down screen - I'm thinking somewhere around 100"
-Speakers - I'd love to set up surround sound, but this isn't strictly necessary.
-Receiver
-Cable/Wiring

I'd appreciate any recommendations y'all can offer. I imagine maybe there are some wireless options? Not sure if that is a good idea though. Happy to answer any questions as I'm sure there is a lot I'm missing, since I'm new to this process.

Thanks in advance!

I just remembered that I have a pair of Yamaha outdoor speakers which will probably help offset some of the cost here. I could definitely use those.

If your needs are around a 100" display and you want daylight viewing, you're much better off going with a 75"-85" LCD TV.
