Needing more thoughts than title says. I have one of these
blue tooth units in the trunk of my '61 Chevy I built. Eliminates radio cutout in dash.
At this point I have no amp, or any mehod for manual controls. Phone app is played to it through blue tooth.
The unit has plenty of volume for my interests. Here's what I want to improve:
- Would like to have a way to control volume with a knob (lower priority)
- Would like to be able to fade/balance. Right now it is what it is, and I can't even hear my front speakers (High priority)
- Might not mind having some more bass (low priority)
Was thinking maybe I could have some type of remote settings device that would use a knob mounted under dash, or in console.
I'm presuming I will need an amplifier in order to have a way to adjust bal/fade. No way to do that from that unit.
Controlling fade and balance from the phone would be OK. The knobs thing may be a hassle.
I have 2 of these Kicker speakers
in the back. Don't recall the fronts, but they are 5" rounds in the kick panel.
Sorry for rambling.
Any thoughts or suggestions?
