I still have my 70" from 2012 as well as a 75" Sony Z9D and still love watching my Elite. Never had a problem with it and hope I don't for a long time as it is hard to beat when watching 1080P content. Great TV. By the way it cost $5300 in 2012 and that was a deal back then.

I also have mine hooked up to an Oppo 103 but not the D and it still is amazing as well. I can't imagine what the D looks like. I helped a number of AVS members get a deal on the Elite back in 2012 from all over the country as my Magnolia manager at the store I bought mine would make the deal I got and arrange with the stores in Illinois, NY and Florida to sell their customers at the same price. All of the customers ended up being really cool and loved the Elite. One day this will be like looking back at the Sony Z9D and wishing we could still get one. Can't believe it's been 8 years now.

Does anybody have the stand assembly and bolts for the pro-70x5d they could sell to me? We've had our tv mounted but are moving into an apartment that doesnt allow tv mounts so I need the stand but it got lost during one of our many moves.

Thanks

Makaveddie81,

Thanks for your help. So a couple years later and this problem still exists for some of us..

I have the same problem with my IR board. I do have the same identical board as yours shown in the pictures. I clicked on the link (a few posts above) for the capacitors but it seems it no longer works.

Do you by any chance still have the part numbers or any info you can provide for the capacitors or know of any shop around the Tampa, FL area that might fix this item...don't know where you are.
Any info/help you can give it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

So when this blows up can you just buy the whole board and replace it?

The board is no longer made and, if you do find a working one, super expensive. Plus, the capacitors on the working board will eventually go bad anyways.

Each capacitor is like 3 bucks (you can buy them much cheaper in bulk) and the repair should cost around 20 bucks.

3d glasses

Anyone else have charging problems with the 3d classes? I order a few from Ebay and all had charging problems. Plug in the usb when they are off and they will flash and if you turn them to 3d mode and unplug the charging cable, the glasses turn off.

I saw some threads here about a fix but could not manage it myself.
