Thanks for the suggestion. I just placed an order for a set on Amazon. Hopefully they work better. Unfortunately, I'm not particularly hopeful; on suspicion of this issue, I had ordered a set of Xpand glasses which were delivered today. I could not see any visual difference between the two pairs.

Also, just to clarify in case it wasn't clear: the photo I have is just of the 3D submenu, so there shouldn't be any content quality issues to speak of. I have, however, tried a Guardians of the Galaxy 3D Blu-ray, and many scenes exhibit very distracting crosstalk.

Which glasses did you get?
SSG-3570CR/ZA or http://www.amazon.com/SAMSUNG-Compat.../dp/B006YWCQLO or something else?

The Amazon link appears to be correct. I like them much better than the Samsung glasses. You can also fold the earpieces, unlike the Samsung glasses.

But for this one flaw, I would be in love with this set Would better glasses maybe help? I.e., is it possible that the lenses don't get dark enough on the included glasses?
I replied to that post a few pages back & posted a few test patterns to further check for crosstalk. I have the exact problem, and after working with a Samsung product specialist, a tech was dispatched & will be here Tuesday am to check it out.

Have not been on these groups for a while but wanted to post a quick question. I have a Sharp LC-70LE857U 70 inch with a best buy protection plan. It has had a few issues and they have agreed to replace it and trying to fix several times. A very nice manager agreed to change it out for me with a Samsung UN75H7150AFXZA. This is a 75 inch set vs my current 70. Also the Samsung is more $$ than my prot plan value because I got a black friday price match on the Sharp but after explaining that they agreed to give me the Samsung with no additional charge. I have an older Samsung 8000 series 50 inch in another part of my home and it was/is amazing. My question is...am I downgrading from the Sharp to this Samsung (7000 series) and the extra cost on the Samsung is due to the bigger screen or this really a good deal and I am getting a better set? Is the Sharp the equivalent (in respect to the sharp line-up) with the Samsung 8000 or 7000 series? Thanks in advance!!!

An even trade for a larger screen and a Samsung model that is 1 year newer than the Sharp? The short answer is YES. It's a very good deal. You'll get better picture depth from the Samsung's "Ultra Clear" panel coating versus the matte panel on the Sharp. Go for it. Make sure you're getting a Samsung (TS01-TS02) panel. You'll find that number on the side of the box. Sharp panels are good too. Research "Samsung panel lottery" to become familiar with different panels installed in the UN75H7150.

Thanks for the reply! It is being delivered on Wednesday...I will take a look at the panel lottery and see where is falls.

No need to worry about the panel lottery on the 75" size of H7150. This size only comes with the Samsung TS01 panel that you'd want... Also, that panel is definitely better than the Sharp panel, as Sharp panels have a bit of a shifted color space that doesn't allow truly accurate red color calibration - the reds are a bit orangish on the Sharps... Overall you're getting a really good deal and a better TV in my opinion...

I have the 75" H7150 with a little bit of clouding/flashlightning. I use your preferred configuration, the official Z-Mad config, on the TV and I really like the colors but the clouding is getting on my nerves - what adjustments would you recommend to reduce the most obvious clouding?

I searched out a TH01 panel 65H7150 here in KC. Hit 4 Best Buys till I found one. Hopefully a satisfactory unit because my previous UH02 was horrible.

Sorry if this has been discussed, but I can't get the audio from my 7150 apps to play through my receiver. I have it hooked up through the ARC HDMI and with an optical cable, no go on either. Is anyone else having this problem? Any suggestions on how to fix it?

Go to menu -> sound -> speaker settings. You'll want to change the TV sound output. Audio Out for the optical, and probably Receiver for ARC.

If you go into Menu -> Sound -> Speaker Settings is it set to Receiver (ARC) or External (optical) for TV Sound Output?

hi,

im in the market for a 46". i dont want cable just dlna and streaming movies netflix, amazon and tv browser.
read a lot about the h7150. on amazon folks are complaining that the quad core is too slow and the apps are so buggy they are useless.
can you confirm that?

so wait for 2015 tizen tv or buy the 7150 and get the evo kit? or get a 7150 and a roku?
cheers babba

i'd wait for tizen...even though no one really knows if tizen will be any better than what is already being used. the evo kit will cost extra, so may as well wait for the new models which will have it already installed.

i have only used the web browser, it is almost unusable without a ad blocker or pop up blocker (which are supposedly built in but is useless), i havent had any problems with netflix, although I havent used it too often to really give it a test...same with youtube.

i emailed samsung about it cuz it was announced there would be an evo kit for the h7150 and I asked when it would be available. they replied to stay tuned...nothing is forthcoming yet ... my guess is by the 2nd quarter of this year?

It's really confusing. One store in Bahrain has the evo kit and says it is compitable. Another one here in Saudi Arabia says it doesn't.

Does anybody know how to refresh files on network dlna devices in smart hub. When i add new movies to my nas, smart hub does not scan for new files. They eventually appear, but it can take weeks and i do not know how to speed up this proces. Wd tv live refreshes files each time you turn it on. Samsungs smart hub does not.

Since last October, when I started the arduous process of finding a decent 65" 7150, I've returned four TH01 paneled TVs (and one Samsung 6203 - which was NOT a Samsung panel and not sent back because of picture quality). The 7150 I settled on, the one I currently use, the one that, quite honestly, wasn't the better of the six TVs purchased, is now starting to show interesting signs of change - and not in good ways.

Unfortunately, I have not had the best of "luck" with the 7150 model.

Every single returned 7150 had worst-case-scenario issues with vertical banding, flash-lighting (that actually made the screen look like a negative of an ink blot test) and "bubbles" beneath the panel itself (these bubbles came about one week after getting the set). Currently, the flash-lighting that was once acceptable is slowly getting more and more noticeable - and my settings are fairly dark to begin with (Backlight - 4, Cinema Black - Medium, Gamma at -1, etc.).

To my eyes, what was the best looking panel? One viewed on a Samsung 65" 6203! I don't remember where that one was manufactured, but it certainly wasn't a Samsung panel and it looked incredible.

Good luck, though. Chances are excellent you'll get a good TV regardless of panel...

This will be my 4th 7150. Its still in the box because I'm losing faith. I want a dam tv but not sure which direction to go if this one is a dud. I'm almost tempted to try either a Sharp panel H6400 or a Sony 65x850b. I honestly have no idea what I will end up with if I choose either of those paths anyway. Doesn't seem like the odds are in my favor. I'd go hu8550 but do not like what I have been reading in that thread lately. I'm afraid to wait for a new Tizen tv. My luck the OS will be great but the rest of the unit is gonna suck 100 Ways from Sunday and it'll cost a good bit more. Seems overall TV quality is going down the crapper. Be it due to edge-lit or Samsung/Sony/LG or whoever as a whole. Trying 4 to 5 of the same model tv to maybe get 1 good one is dumb!

It's not the job of the Smart Hub to refresh the files. That's entirely your NAS's responsibility. The TV just displays what it's told to display.

I couldn't agree more with your comment regarding "...quality going down the crapper." There are so many issues that not one manufacturer has addressed. All the while, they continue to push new apps, new resolutions, bells and whistles, etc., without fixing...oh, I don't know...how 'bout vertical banding and maybe even Dirty Screen Effect?

I've only been dabbling with LED TVs for just over a year now, but have had nine different models of Samsung (started with a 32" and continued to find a decent size until settling on the 65"). Again, some of the better looking TVs were not Samsung panels. I still have a 50"Samsung, purchased in 2013, that is not a Samsung panel, for back up...just in case. The picture on that TV is quite good. And I did look into the 8550 - at length. Obviously, I went with the 7150s instead (I've seen two 8550s, in home settings, that really didn't look good at all).

Open the 7150 you have (if you can return it or exchange it). Get it over with . You'll either love it or not, but at least you'll have eliminated that option...or not.

I'm pretty close to pulling the trigger and getting a 7150 model this week. I'm looking for a good 65" size tv but can't
seem to decide on what model tv. I just want a LED with good black levels, good 3D and great picture. Would love to get a 65" Plasma but not paying over 3K for non4KTV. So close on this tv but keeping hearing and reading about weird issues. So I'm guessing I need to make sure I buy at TH01 panel? When buying one how can you tell which screen version is the Samsung, does it say TH01 on the side of the box or what if you go in best buy or somewhere and they keep there stock in there storage room and wheel out a model that is not TH01 version? How do I ensure I get that version? If someone has a different tv suggestion let me know. Whats while I saw a 70" Vizio P 4K model in the store that surprisingly had a great picture, I guess I've never paid attention to the Vizio TV's, but what sucks is I have Direct TV and Netflix so if the TV is not Samsung 4K I can't take advantage of the 4K option getting a Vizio.

Check the refresh settings for your NAS DLNA software. I know when I use Plex Server I had the same issue but then had to go into Plex and set it to something more reasonable like every 12 hours else I wouldn't see the new files for a while.

Yes, there is a label on the outside of the box that says TH01 or other panel number. You could try asking them to look for that number when they go in the back.

Hi, I have the UE40H7000 (Eu Model version - i think its the same) and no DD from any HDMI input is passed through to either the Optical or ARC output

Most annoying as both my F7000s pass through just perfect.....

Hello all,

I purchased a UN75h7150 in October, and have been very happy with the unit until a few weeks ago were I noticed a strange image issue.

In dark scenes I as see what I would describe as red ghosting around the edges of faces nostrils, neck lines in general. This ghosting is only visible when there is movement, and if I pause really quick it disappears.

I have reset the TV to factory settings and performed the following troubleshooting steps.

1. Checked if issue is present on all inputs -- yes, as well as the built in apps, ie Netflix, Amazon.
2. Replaced HDMI cable, and port used. This seemed a bit over kill to me since the issue happens using the built in apps, but better to check everything I guess.
3. Turned on gaming mode -- this did not resolve the issue, and as far as I can tell there is no gaming mode for internal apps.
4. Used my Xbox One to perform a quick calibration. I know this is not as good as a real calibration tool, but I don't have access to one at this time. -- this did reduce the effect a but it still persists.
4a. As part of the Xbox calibration it tells you to turn off all enhancing options so those are all off ATM.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.
