Actually, according to your link, they only accept Visa credit card if you shop through Samsclub.com. I just tried to pay for my membership in store with my REI Visa card the other day and the lady said that I couldn't use it. Visa DEBIT is ok, but as far as credit cards go it's MC, Discover or their store card.

Do they actually hand out vouchers at 4am?
My thought would be if you are in line at 3am you are not going to get a voucher until very close to 7am.
Maybe I am wrong,

Also, what is slickdeals? Do you have a link?

Google it it will be one of the 1st things that come up. I try not to post links to other forums here.

usually we try not to do too much deal talk in owners threads as it can get carried away easily. There is an entire section for deal talk

I know this has kind of turned into a P60 deal thread, so not to beat a dead horse, but I'm trying to get my plan of attack. I live in a small area (town of about 17k people) and I can't imagine that if I got there after 6:30am tomorrow that I would miss out on spending a grand on a TV. Do people honestly think you need to camp out at 3, 4, 5am?

Man, I was hoping my usual wakeup of 6am and just roll out of bed, brush my teeth, and stroll to Sam's would be sufficient. I guess not. Guess I gotta be really quiet and make sure to not wake the baby at 5am. The Mrs. will murder me if I do!

Order direct from Vizio. $99 shipping, no sales tax and 10% off if you sign up on their site. It took about one week from order to delivery.

I LOVE my P70!

Is the 65 inch version, really as bad as the HDGURU review states? I had the 50 inch B1E version and I thought it looked great. I returned it so I can try and get a 60 inch tomorrow for the same price. But I am wondering are the larger sized tvs that bad? I know most people on this board seam to the the same opinion as me about the Vizios. My plan is if I cant get the 60 inch for $998 I will probably just grab the 55 inch. For $1298.

Also How good is HDGURU of a review site? I read there review of the Sony 4k And them seem over look the fact that the Sony also had edge enhancement issues? Are they an any processing is bad processing site? It sure kind of seemed like it. I was also concerned about there over reliance on pushing a 1080i picture to the TV. I have comcast x1 and there is nothing saving that picture quality. It just bad. I would think using cable as a bases for a review would be unfair. I personally play both PS4 and Xbox one and blueray. Due to Comcast I just expect a good picture for cable viewing not the greatest.

It'll be 59 degrees here in far eastern San Diego at 5 AM tomorrow (maybe a tad warmer closer to the shore); everyone in line at Sam's Clubs will probably be wearing coats . (I remember many years ago coming from an icy Philadelphia airport to visit friends here and everyone was walking around in heavy jackets because they were having a "cold snap" with highs in the low 60s. It was wonderfully warm, balmy weather to me, so I was shorts, sandals and a t-shirt. After 13 years living here I'm cold at the temperature too).

Also, the P60 will be available online as well at that price so there is no need to wait in line if you don't have to. Of course that is assuming it doesn't sell out. The Vizio P series are in extremely high demand. Most places struggle to keep inventory.

These televisions use LCD panels from at least 3 different OEMs; the 60" and 70" are VA panels made by Sharp, the 55" an IPS panel made by LG and the 65" is a VA made by AUO. (I don't know if anyone's certain as to the manufacturer of the 50" panel). There's been much praise for the 60" and 70" by owners in this thread; the 55" is very good but as an IPS panel doesn't have as high a native contrast ratio as the VA panels. I understand that its color does dial in perfectly whereas the 60" and 70" are trickier. I had a 55" for 3 weeks and really enjoyed it, though the higher contrast of the 60" that I replaced it with is quite noticeable.

I haven't heard anyone say much of anything good about their 65" so it may have a higher number of problems than the others. We also haven't had much input from 50" owners.

Yeah--we'll see about that. I have my doubts; its web page is kind of ambiguous. If it is available online it will be in limited quantities that will probably sell out just as quickly (I missed a flash sale on the new Nexus 9 tablet, offered by HTC for half-price; apparently the quantity available at that price were all gone in less than half an hour). Also, exactly when will it be available online? At midnight EST? 7:00 AM EST?

My two 65s looked quite nice. Upscaling was handled well and I didn't notice any edge enhancement issues. The problem for me came from the vertical banding and visible pixel division (presented as a yellow line down the middle of the panel). It wasn't the worst I've ever seen, that honor belongs to a Sony I once owned, but they still made the image look dirty whenever the camera panned against light colors. I've seen them mentioned from other owners and reviews, too.

If you're looking to buy the P series, it sounds like the other sizes don't suffer nearly as much from DSE.

I was going to jump ship to the Samsung H7150, but it turns the other person in this house with the checkbook decided she wanted to try a third P65 and went to Best Buy to arrange that without telling me first. Sigh. I guess I'll let everyone know if that's any better than the first two. I'm not holding my breath for that to be the case, to be honest.

This is ridiculous. I am going insane.

I'm not too confident this will be available online either. If you click on the link to view the panel it says "In Club purchase only" whereas the other panels (non-sale items) give you the option to buy online and pick up in store. Not sure if a "Buy Now" link will show up come 12am/7am or not....

Discover will refund you the difference up to $500 if you find a better deal elsewhere. I would buy the TV from Amazon then call Discover for a refund on Saturday. skip the early madness!

That is not Amazon or not even fufilled by Amazon. It's a third party vendor.

Ships from and sold by Shop by Convenience.

Are they an authorized resellers of Vizio?

There's no such thing as "VIP" members. This is just a big sale they're doing for all membership levels. Maybe he meant to say that it wouldn't be open to the non-member general public, which is kind of a given.
I think I found someone to buy my M60 though! Which is great because I'm not taking the P60 out of the box until the old TV sold.

This room currently has the 65" D Series in it. Think it's too big of a room to drop down to the P60 if I'm able to score one in the morning?

It's the higher level of membership, he meant a VIP event I'm sure, which is what these things are typically called.

I worked at a Sam's Club for a year, the higher level Membership is called "Plus."
The event is called a "VIP Event" but that has nothing to with membership levels.

Edit: he was probably just trying to convince you to buy the more expensive membership. They pushed those super hard on us when I worked there.

First in line! . Actually there's no line at our NJ SAMs club. Employees outside laughed when I asked about a line. "At SAMs?!?" Guess we'll see! Hunkering down in the car for the long haul...
