Its made in Slovakia, and i am frankly surprised how it handles blacks ...it does it better then the 55 referent unit they had on Rtings...
Maybe coz i picked it in person and never let them (mis)handling it, so i never really touched the side frames to prevent the light bleed, only bottom and slight touch on top when getting it out of the box. Who knows.
Thnx for you though. I really appreciate.

1st 55js8002: Bad DSE - returned for replace
2nd 55js8002: Exactly the same thing - refund
55js9002: Panel R.I.P. (edge bleed after 1 year of use) - refund
55x900E: Great TV - hope it will last

Clear Motion OFF, AMP to Custom, Blur Reduction 10 and Judder Reduction 0 is the "correct" motion handling setting for 24p-based content.
Thanks. Gonna give it a try with mad max fury road HDR.

I think all of electronics for my area and east Europe is assembled by them but its also considered as lower quality then for west EU.

Anyway, its a shame that they dont allow anymore of questions on Rtings, i would have asked them if my case is tolerable, being subjective or not, as i can imagine what Samsung would say.

My last question here ...is fast boot option need to be on or off? Read somewhere that its not good for a set. I find it pretty slow to boot up when i enable apps screen, so i disabled it...but kept fast boot on.

Did you mean to say yes? Based on your explanation, it seems that you're saying that using the suggested settings on page one would still make an improvement in PQ with the motion settings maxed out?!

Motion settings are basically just a preference. If you like the soap opera effect then turn it on standard or smooth but if you just want to get rid of frame judder turn on clear.

That's a terrible example to try with MMFR has tons of intentionally "dropped frames" and sped-up action that will make motion processing artifacts hard to spot.

Recommend that you just start with a standard Blu-ray. Behavior for UHD should be the same, as both are 24p.

there's nothing "reference" about Rtings unit or their reviews and conclusions. they just buy their units like all of us here and pretend that one particular set represents the performance of the whole series. it's laughable.

SO after seeing green666's set... im assuming that light bleed 12 inches away from the edge is totally unacceptable. it appears they CAN make good sets... why so much variation? I wouldn't even care about the light bleed if it was consistent and didnt move!!... but the whole screen lighting up for a white play icon in the bottom left corner bugs the absolute CRAP out of me.

No, because of bad QC!

Don't blame the workers, they do what they're being told. But QC should filter and reject snafus, which they are not doing.
Or they're allowing a wider deviation from the quality standard they initially had to be able to offer it for half the msrp.

Quick question guys. Will a 12.10' light strip make it all the way around our 65" tv?

I thought this was normal? Because of how the localized dimming works on our tvs. If it's not I need to contact Samsung.

I'm not blaming the workers, they get paid crap so it's not like they care how the TVs turn out. I blame Samsung and all these companies that send their products somewhere that has such cheap labor. I also blame the world market that allows this kind of stuff to happen.

You're right.
Manufacturing here in Australia is less than 10%, everything is made overseas, especially in China. By next year we will have no car manufacturers left in Australia with all new Vehicles imported.

I ordered the longer OCM cable from Encompass ( https://www.encompassparts.com/item/...CBF_SIGNAL-OCM ) and it came today. It works perfectly. I'm pretty sure it is made by Samsung or whoever makes the original cable. The connectors are identical. The new cable is a little bit thicker though. See pics below.
