Help choosing new TV

I have narrowed my choices down to either the Sony XBR55x850c $1600 Vs. the Samsung un55js8500 $2000.

As a kicker is the 2014 LG 1080p OLED for $2000 a worthy consideration or is QD tech so close that it's better to have 4k for future proofing.?

Having hard time finding out information for some reason.

How does the quantum dot implementation of these 2 sets compare to each other? Which has the better colors?

Which set has the better viewing angles?

Are the sets HDR ready?

Are the sets 8 bit or 10 bit panels?

Which set has the better native contrast ratio?

Which set does a better job upscaling?

Which set has clearer motion resolution?

With the 400 dollar price difference in mind what is the better choice?

Can they do 4k @ 60hz over HDMI if connecting via Titan X GPU?

Sorry if these answers are somewhere there are just so many pages of info it's hurting my head trying to find all this.

My gut feeling is the js8500 is probably better since it cost more but you never know.

It's subjective but I find that the coating that Sony/Panasonic uses produces more natural colors than the Quantum Dots used by Samsung.

Only the Samsung

I believe the Sony X850C panel has a better native contrast ratio. But the Samsung JS8500 has local dimming so effectively it should appear to have better contrast in real world use.

Extremely subjective. I don't really feel like there is a prevailing opinion here.

Personally, I like the motion handling on the Sony better but also very subjective.

Overall I would agree. The X850C is more comparable to the JU7100. That being said there are always trade-offs.

I agree with everything said here.

At the 55" price point, I'm not sure the JS8500 is worth a $500 premium over the x850c. The 65" only has a $400 difference between the two sets, and much lower % difference in comparison with total price.

Well at amazon its a 400 price difference 1600 for the 850c sony and 2000 for the js8500. Haven't really hunted for better prices have you found the sony for 1500? Probably gonna go with the sony, tho I hope I don't end up loving HDR than i will be upset with purchase.
