I've got a replacement x850c coming this Monday afternoon 1/11. Magnolia says their delivery guy will turn it on and see if there are any obvious problems, but 1) he won't be able to tell if I have the same crashing problem, and 2) as somebody else pointed out, what any banding is more of a night time problem (I don't have any shades in the room right now, and what if when I start to work with it it still proves to be buggy?
Technically, the return period for Magnolia ends 1/15. I don't know that this exchange process restarts the clock at all.
Should I be calling Sony directly and asking for a 910C? How does their replacement work? Do they pick it up and deliver a new one for free? Should I be trying them first? If this happens a second time?
I bought a SquareTrade warrantee too, although I have yet to register any set. Where should they fit into this? If I don't discover a defect until I'm post return periods, will Sony or SquareTrade replace it?
