watching blu ray & picture goes fuzzy.
Hey guys and girls I have a problem a problem I have no clue where to look next to fix this problem. I put in a blu ray like true story , batman, transformers and u can be watching the movie and than it goes fuzzy for 10 seconds than goes back to clean looking picture. The fuzzy isn't so bad u can't see the picture but more like sd to hd.. I have tried changing the hdmi cables. firsy set was mono price with redmere. second set monster cable 1000hdx thx hdmi. Both did it. tried xbox one and sony bdp-s6500 and again still doing it. Only has this problem on movies not games or Roku at this point. where should I look next or how I can I test to find my problem?

Gear I have.

Sony KDL-55W950B
onkyo ht-rc370
xbox one
Roku 2
hdmi wires monster 1000hdx from onkyo to tv 16 feet.
amazon basic's 5 feet from Roku
xbox one factory hdmi cable.
klipsch reference v2 towers, center and sides and rears. 7.1 setup.
we our 5-6 feet back from the tv.

Are you running everything into Onkyo first? Try connecting blu ray directly to tv and see if it happens again. If not, it's likely the receiver.

I hooked up the tv to the xbox one and ps3 slim. It still does it. Funny thing is it's the same scenes every time. I never had this problem with my 40 inch sony. But at the same time I was 10 feet from the screen. I have played the same disc on my 40 inch sony and I can't seem to notice it. I was at 3 feet when I was looking for the fuzzy stuff. Why would the sony 55w950b do this? I have had it for 6 months so I can't take it back. Could 16 feet on the hdmi cable be to long?

:mad:Called sony today and no help. they sent me some emails about how to use my ps3 and to unplug my hdmi cable and try a new one. I told the guy 3 times that I have picture but the quality is what im asking about. I would think they would want to take care of some one better that has been giving them money for 10 years. 2 sony TV's ps3 ps4 sony blu ray players and that's what I get for service. I'm going to get a video to post about the screen that might help.

15 ft is pretty long for a HDMI run... Try using a shorter cable with the units closer to the TV and see what happens... You could also try a different input. The odd thing is that you say the issue happens at the same scenes...

I have tried 6 foot hdmi cables and 2 other hdmi ports. Sony is sending a tech out. I can't wait to hear what they have to say. I just don't under stand why its so clear and clean than grainy/ fuzzy for a couple seconds than super clean again.

So sony installed a new 55w950b and still same problem. Its not fuzzy from what I understand now its grainy. It's driving me nutz. How come I can see it so bad on my new 55 inch and can't see it at all with my old lcd sony 1080p xbr model. At this rate I'm going to buy a vizio 2015 p series when they come out. It's now doing this grainy picture on Roku also. nothing on games. I have tried everything I can think up.

Lemmie guess.....your seeing the natural graininess that is inherent in some scenes. You notice it more on a larger screen.

The fact that you see it with the same scenes is the critical clue ;)

It's just film grain. Buying a new tv isn't going to fix it. It's part of the movie.

some films have grain it's part of the movie.
