Thanks. Saw Mad Max within the past year and already own it.

I'd be into Warcraft but suspect my guests would not .

Did you see either Star Trek Beyond or Batman vs. Superman?

From what I've seen in Dolby Vision, Pacific Rim is the best with Lucy a close second.

For HDR10 the best I've seen is probably The Revenant.

Can't go wrong with those but if I had to choose one it'd be Pacific Rim easily.

This comes up every few weeks. P series is NOT discontinued. Best Buy is notorious for giving out bad information.

Yea I watched both, Star Trek wasn't impressive, and the story was a complete drag, but hey at least we now think spock is gay. Batman vs Superman was decent, looks good too, if I had to choose between those 2 I'd go Batman vs Superman for sure, but it's a really dark environmental type movie

A lot of people have said that Pacific Rim is the best. I have only seen PR, BvS, and Lego Movie (looks amazing but it kind of cheating since it is CGI :P ) I think Pacific Rim looked amazing in UHD especially the cockpit and scenes in the control center. I checked it out again in HDX afterwards and could tell how much improved the UHD version was.

Not sure if there's any truth to this and if its the reason why you can only find it at Best Buy? But seems odd Vizio would discontinue a 2016 model already.
Costco seems to remove a model from the site once they get to many of them on back order (more then they will be getting in their next shipment from Vizio), once they fill the orders they have, they put it back up for sale.

No place to go grab it. Best you could do, if Matt is still taking Serial Numbers, is to PM (Personal Message) him or grab his attention here for new members who can't PM just yet (due to minimum required posts).

In HDR? What crazy is, I still haven't played anything in HDR at home yet. I only did it in the store when I was compairing multuiple tv's. I just registered for the free Star Trek movie but didn't get the code yet, but you guys say it doesn't look that great anyway.

Are most of you using VUDU for your movies then?

I've watched both and I think BvS edges out Star Trek as far as visuals. Some of the explosions at night in BvS really show off the amazing contrast of the Vizio with the bright flames against the pitch black sky. BvS has a lot of really dark scenes though so it is probably best to view it in a relatively dark environment if possible. Star Trek looked beautiful as well but the colors don't seem to have that intense HDR pop that some other UHD films do. I actually enjoyed Star Trek more as a movie personally and if you will have kids watching I think Star Trek is a better fun family movie, BvS is a bit darker thematically.

Also you can get Star Trek UHD on Vudu for free from Vizio if you register your P-series with them (you have to check the box to get e-mail updates from them but you can unsubscribe after the sign-up). Hurry if you want to get your free code before T-day (they say up to 10 days but I got mine the next day).

Also for non-Vudu UHD movies I thought that X-men Apocalypse had some outstanding visuals.

If you register your P series with Vudu or Vizio? And is there a link that says all of this? I went to both of their sites and I see nothing saying that..

Just as an FYI.... If you share your VUDU library, Star Trek WILL NOT share the UHD version.

Just hung and switched res to HDX using my iPhone. I'm not convinced this is a VUDU issue though. I'm going to disconnect my Ethernet line and see if there are issues when using WIFI.

Thanks. I'm leaning towards BvS and just learned that if you purchase the UHD Bluray of a Warner Bros. movie, it comes bundled with access to the VUDU Dolby Vision stream, so I'm thinking of going that route...

While I was one of the first P-Series owners 2 years ago, I've since switched to the 'dark side' (OLED) so Vizio's offer is not going to work for me.

But believe me, you P-Series owners have a pretty significant head start over the 2016 OLED owners as far as experience with Dolby Vision (as well as Atmos-over-ARC ).

Definitely a server-side issue. I'll be hounding VUDU but I've sent Vizio notes as well.

That is correct, all of the UHD Blurays that I have bought that had UHD available on Vudu gave me a free UHD digital version with the code (including BvS). Lots of UHD Blurays are on sale for $20 or less right now making Vudu's prices and lack of UHD sales seem kind of ridiculous.
