I just tried watching meridian by varying to the built in Cast on my P65 and this happened as soon as the resolution reached the full 4K. It doesn't happen in SDR move, and both the Chromecast Ultra and Roku Ultra do it done in HDR. Is this a known issue? I'm on firmware 2277.

Is there a solution? (That doesn't involve using another device? Not that I mind using a different device, but it'd be nice to fix)

Meridian on Netflix is the only video that does that. The tv built in casting can only do 30fps when in HDR mode and Meridian doesn't play nice.

Xbox does everything except disc at 60, HDR or SDR. Works with either beta FW. I guess it's just a limitation to the built in casting, hardware or firmware.

Oh, good to know it's just that reference short film and not everything. Looks good on the Chromecast Ultra, FWIW. Definitely much nicer than SDR

Xbox is just outputting at 60, the shows from the apps are not all native at 60. The chromecast ultra does the same thing.

As I'm having a replacement set shipped next week for a separate issue, I'll be able to check that unit, but I'm pretty sure it's a firmware issue. Even happens with 1.1.14.4.
Has anyone with a Vizio P an a Marantz NR1606 succeeded to confirm that that AVR supports Atmos-over-ARC?

GLL acts differently at different frame rates and resolutions. For 1080p @ 120 FPS the motion is very similar with or without GLL on. Clear Action helps the motion a lot with 1080p @ 120 FPS and it doesn't have any of the annoying flicker that 60 FPS can have.

Right now I am doing my first person shooter gaming on HDMI 5 with Clear Action turned on and Game Low Latency turned off. I know that everyone will say that is sacrilege. However, the input lag appears to be low enough with 1080p @ 120 FPS that GLL is no longer necessary. Ironically that is the only scenario that RTINGS.com hasn't tested. It always seems that the things they don't test are the things that only the Vizio can do(1080p @ 120 FPS) or that the Vizio is best for(FALD).

I've tried using smartcast apps from different devices, Vizio remote, Harmony and the buttons on the back of the display. Same response from all of them.

I've done a few resets including using the buttons on the display to reset as well. I've removed all HDMI devices, devices that would control the power, AVR and network in hopes of finding something out of the process of elimination.

Any help would be appreciated.

How about removing the TV from the network , both Wi-Fi and ethernet to see if that makes a difference. If it does then some app is messing with it.

Maybe that's what you meant when you said network? If so disregard suggestion.

I tested the Chrome Cast Ultra with the Vudu app and HDR DV does work for it. I made sure that I was casting to the Chromecast Ultra and not to the TV. The ChromeCast is plugged into an HDMI port so it must be converting Dolby Vision to HDR10 and passing that on to the P75. It works and HDR = Yes shows up in the P75 menu. It doesn't look great but it appears to work somewhat.

Youtube HDR worked before but does not work now. Not sure what happened. I did a factory reset and it updated the firmware to version 78017. Is that the latest version?

That's newer than the version i have. My YouTube still world.
It doesn't convert Dolby vision to hdr10. The tv accepts Dolby vision via hdmi.

I didn't think Dolby Vision over HDMI support had been added yet. That is cool if it has.

It supported it since release actually. Just the Chromecast was the first available device. The Chromecast was waiting for a firmware update to enable it. I assume it's that newer firmware you got. Hopefully mine updates tomorrow.

I would trade working youtube HDR for working Vudu HDR since I can cast to the P75 directly with Vudu. The Chromecast converts the youtube HDR to HDR10 right? It can't pass the native youtube HDR on to the Vizio display, right?

Well YouTube hdr is actually hdr-10 its just encoded in vp9 which the tvs built in casting didn't support natively. So the Chromecast does send it as hdr-10

If i get the update tomorrow I'll test YouTube and let you know if it's still working for me.

Unfortunately I never tested this before the latest beta firmware so idk if its a firmware issue. What firmware are you on? I just tested it out and sure enough after a couple mins the screen went black it lost the signal and never came back, I had to change hdmi ports to get it working again without shutting it off. Im on the latest beta

Just saw Youtube HDR will be supported on 2016 model Samsungs through a software update. I dont think I would ever use that as I dont watch much Youtube, but ive seen some people comment in here about how they live and breathe Youtube.

So far I have not had any issues with audio drops while on beta 3.0.10.7, but HDR is completely broken on the PS4 Pro (never was an issue for me prior to the latest beta).

.
The only sound issues I have had were when backing out of a Netflix HDR video through the Nvidia Shield TV while using HDMI ARC. This seems fixed on the 3.0.10.7 firmware. I havent had any other sound related issues short of surround sound on the Xbox One S not working with anything but the "Bitstream" setting on the P65-C1, while the Nvidia Shield TV only utilizes surround sound when the panel's setting are set to "Dolby D".

Bummer got my P65 today and it has green and red line on right most edge and middle is blurred and dark. Motion blurring occurs from middle out to right. Guess I got a bad panel.
I heard that early on they had QC issues but I thought all that had passed.

So what is it like dealing with Costco returns with home delivery. Do they send out technician, do I have to box this thing up in original packing?
UPDATE: I see they do an online return form - anyone have experience on this, do they cross ship a new one or wait until the returned unit arrives? If they do not cross ship I assume I could just do a full online return and re-order online again.

Anyone else end up with a bad panel the first time?

They will take it back within 90 days without the box. Just return it to the closest Costco to you. They have always had very good customer service for me personally, and returns are about as painless as I've ever experienced anywhere.

Check back a few pages. My panel came last Friday and on Saturday when I went to install it was completely broken and lines everywhere. Called csr and within 5 minutes they ordered a new. I purchased online.

They are also sending someone to pick it up the broken one and cross shipping

I have two TV's in my possession right now from Costco - unfortunately they are both tainted with issues. I have given up, they are both going back. Unfortunately the P65 panel supplier looks to be suspect at best.
