There was no 3.0.13.4. it was 3.0.13.5.

The newest is 3.0.14.0

Did you recheck? Do you indeed have 3.0.14.0? Or did it only load 3.0.13.5?

Honest question for all Vizio P owners.. I love this TV, I think it's fantastic and has everything I could want plus Dolby Vision to boot. I read some stories about Netflix and Xbox One S having some major issues with this model of TV. This is the main reason I would be buying it. Are these instances rare? Or common issues. I don't want to have to be on the phone with Vizio or spend hours troubleshooting just to get basic features to work.. I would even go without dolby vision if it means it just works. Can anyone who owns the Tv please provide feedback with these two modes of watching/playing HDR content?

It doesn't make sense to not have a "P" offering this early in the year. It's too soon to be out of product, and too long to wait for a 2018 model. Certainly raises some questions. Only time will tell I suppose.
It may be more linked to the drastic markdown promotions these sets have seen in conjunction with the Super Bowl and Sweet 16 BB tournament. Those markdowns finally got me to pull the trigger and I would imagine there are many others who waited and did the same.

I don't have an Xbox, but Netflix is solid. There was an issue on NetFlix's side regarding Dolby Vision with one of their series. They fixed the problem, and as far as I know things are great.

I think that might be the best description of what's really going on. We'll know if they update the P75 availability to some kind of lead time other than "Out of Stock". That's the only thing that still keeps me questioning.

I have been reading up on YouTube TV and checking out every new video and review (though most review articles are just repeating the same thing) and this looks like it will be my answer to cutting the cord. I really hope Google and Vizio work together to make sure it will work with the built in casting on our TV's as soon as possible. If not then I will just buy a CC Ultra and start using that for streaming all of my content instead of the built in cast

IIRC, they've run out of stock a couple of times w/ the P series over the last year. So there might be nothing to it. My re-certified P75 comes Wednesday, so keeping my fingers crossed.

I've had my P75 C-1 for about 2 weeks and so far, aside from the usual handshake issues, it's been a wonderful TV. I plugged in Showman's latest calibration settings and they really make it pop.

I do have a question regarding casting 4k youtube vids. I am seeing random, split second flickers in the right 1/3rd of the screen. These flickers only occur when casting. Has anyone else noticed these? One vid that seems the most troublesome is "Timescapes 4k". Is this a normal anomaly related to casting or could it be a sign of a problem in the making?

BTW, the 5 plus minute long Costa Rica 4k vid with all the different venomous snakes and other wildlife is totally awesome looking.

On paper for a VA vs IPS this is true, but I would love to see a real, accurate comparison for the P Series. The FALD on the P55 really gives it good black levels and contrast, and unless you are in a totally dark room, I don't think you would be able to see a difference. To say the P55 picture quality is "tolerable" is quite a laughable statement. I've had the set for a year now and have followed this thread the whole time. It seems to me most P55 owners are the happiest of the bunch here with the least amount of complaints.
Well forgive me for that incomplete statement. I was referring to the viewing angles on the p55 not the black levels as i am also a p55 owner.

The other thing is calibration.

I've tried different settings from various sites. Rtings seems a bit "dark" and off somewhat.

I've looked at others on here and still all seem a bit..........off

My room is somewhat on the dark side. I do have occasional light during the day but afternoons and evenings it's a cave.

I've been running my set at either "computer" or vivid during battlefield sessions. Its a bit too bright so I scale down to computer.

Anyways, any advice would be greatly appreciated

I haven't tried it myself, but Katzmeier on CNET posted calibration specs with his P-series review of the P65. I might try his whenever I get my new set (current one is defective).

This probably isn't helpful but as a reference point I have never experienced the freezing issue on my P75. (Purchased a week after the TV was released). I'm on the list to receive all the latest beta software pushes. I do not have reduce judder enabled.

I never had the freeze issue until I started playing with the reduce judder settings. I noticed that reduced judder doesn't work properly from a 60p source that is pulling 24p from it. It's just a thought and the only 2 times it happened to me.

With a floating logo (like OPPO) on a black screen certainly shows backlight sync issues and blooming. Not noticeable on content but disturbing nonetheless.

That's fairly normal depending on the amount of bloom and settings. This is especially the case when the logo crosses multiple zones. I'm mean if you gauge your viewing experience my screensaver screens, I guess it would be troublesome, for me however content is where it matters.

When I watch movies at 24Hz, I use reduce judder at 2 and it works very well without having a SOE. When I watch anything at 60Hz, I turn reduce judder off because it seems to introduce random jerkiness when on. That being said, I have not had any freezing issues either way, but agree with you that something isn't right with reduce judder at 60Hz.

I agree, I'm not losing any sleep over it, but was surprised with the FALD difficulty in keeping up across the zones
