Oh, yes. My serial is on the beta list. I've been on the list for maybe 6 months.

Spoiler!
The Vidity titles are Fox movies. They only download to that drive and only work on a select few Samsung TV's. But since Universal started releasing UHD a few months ago, they stream in HDR10 to certain TV's and devices (I believe the Roku Premier+ and Ultra, Xbox One S, and Samsung 8500) even though it doesn't say it anywhere on FandangoNow's site. They only say UHD. I don't have any of those devices, but you can search the HDR titles thread to see people stream HDR10 as I've explained.

Thumbs down No 50 Hz Support

Just got the 3.2.8.3 update to my P65. 50hz PAL disc support still hasn't been restored. I'll really like to view my old BBC TV shows on DVDs & BD again like with the 2.X firmware.

I just got home and saw a new error I have never seen before. The no signal message on the tv has changed and tells you to try switching sources. Was having a bit of a handshake issue.
Seems to be working now. But if that didn't happen I wouldn't have even known there was a new firmware. Hoping we get what was changed when Matt posts.

Probably part of the update.
Usually the first time you power up the display after an update it has a message at the top for 4 or 5 seconds.

Getting my p65 next week. Got few concerns; keep reading that the p series do not meet the hdr premium certificate as the pick brightness is not high enough and the color gamut is not wide enough. Should I be concerned? Does it really matter? I currently have the Samsung 75ju7100 which is not hdr citified although it is capable to display it with good results. I hope the p65 is an upgrade. Please advise. Thanks

Just go for it. It's a very nice TV at a great price. I play battlefront ps4 non pro and watch 1080p Blu-ray all the time. They all look incredible. I haven't even tried a UHD Disc yet and I'm still in love(P75 Owner). The brightness is fine compared to others. Unless your watching UHD 4k all day long side by side, there woudnt be a knock your socks off difference especially for the $$ savings. My 2 cents. -Flame suit on-

In theory BBC converted their early/old TV broadcasts from PAL for USA distribution but they are still 50 Hz.

Nice to see the continued focus on P series firmware. Hope this rev kills a few bugs. When I reflect on my first impressions from just over a year ago, my enthusiasm about these displays is no less today. The value proposition of the P series (and the M honestly) is remarkable. The support for both HDR formats was industry leading and now with casting for HDR, Vizio delivers on a stated promise. I recently had purchased an M55 for a small family room. I find that display to be an incredible value for the recent pricing. I did replace it though for a P55 because of viewing angle issues in that room and the IPS display is much better suited. NO complaints about the M other than typical VA panel stuff (HDMI port specs are a little stingy too).

Looking forward to the next few weeks. We'll see what tomorrow brings.

I added this to the calibration thread, but thought I'd add it here as well.

Is 11-point broken for anyone else on 3.2.8.3?

When I try to adjust, the sliders go back to 0 and I get the following message on the TV - "To Display the test pattern connect a source to the input and try again"

This is via Mobileforge/Nvidia Shield -> denon AVR --> HDMI 1, and a factory reset was done prior.

Offset/Gain/RGB color tuner works ok. Just 11-point.

P series wish for the long haul... A 2:35 aspect display with a diagonal 85"-100". With Vizio's zone control and blacks, the left and right portions of the screen could crop for standard format and you'd still have essentially a 75" or better. How awesome would that be. I think I'd buy an 85" like that right now at current Vizio P specs.

Set-up and Remote Question

I've been using my P75 for about 3 weeks and absolutely love it!!!!!

I currently have this:

Pioneer Receiver VSX1021K (Non 4K) --> P75 HDMI 1
Sony BD (Non 4K) --> VSX1021K
Comcast X1 --> VSX1021K
Roku Premiere+ --> P75 HDMI 2

ARC is enabled and outside of the occasional audio drop, works fine.

Everything that plays thru the Sony BD shows thru the Remote as Stereo sound. The Receiver shows DTS. Is that an issue? When streaming from the Roku, I often see Dolby D+ on the remote.

Should I run the Sony BD and X1 to the Vizio directly or does it matter?

Updated firmware here as well...3.2.8.3...checking it out now. Already see a "check for new version" in the app.

At first glance, subtitle rendering is much improved, doesn't dim the screen. Watched Homeland w/subtitles the other day & just rechecked it....didn't dim the screen at all.

Dolby Vision & HDR10 are now identified as such on the INFO bar on screen & in the app. HDR10 at first glance looks much improved. DV looks great. Image overall on all material seems brighter. Switching inputs gives you a message to press the input button again if no signal is detected, which did lock on after a second press.

question: when I try to cast Netflix and watch something in 4k DV, the video works perfectly but the audio cuts out constantly. is this purely an issue with my wifi speed? I can play 4k hdr from my xbox one flawlessly but it is wired with an Ethernet cable. to be honest my wifi router is an older asus N and I don't think its giving the best speeds, but my internet I pay for is 75 mb/s.

I'm having this problem too. I got 11-point controls to work only in 1080p and lower. not 4k.

I grabbed a regular Vizio tv remote from a non cast enabled one and hit menu and there is now a full on screen menu guide like the old Vizio tvs. You can now change settings with remote or phone now.....11pt didn't work that way either.
