EDIT: Great news! Somehow the fly has fallen to the bottom of the screen since yesterday (maybe since the TV was off and cooled down things contracted?), it's now only blocking maybe 2-3 pixels at the absolute bottom of the screen so it's much harder to notice than the ~15 pixels near the center.

Oof, I *think* my bug may be a few layers back like just in front of the diffuser maybe since the outline is still razor sharp as I can't seem to see it when the screen is off and I shine a flashlight at the screen but it's really hard to tell. Idk if that's better or worse.

I'm tempted to try and take it apart and see if I can blow it out somehow, but I'd probably just end up breaking it somehow. If it was like a small 32" or less screen I'd feel a lot more confident as it'd be way easier to handle the unit.

Just before mine died for good, I would turn the TV on and get a solid white power LED, but then it just went off after about 10 seconds without the TV coming on. It did that a couple times before becoming totally unresponsive.
Mine was similar. Completely unresponsive right now. Also got the P65 on release. I opened it up and the power board is just fine. Best I can trace it back to is something on the main logic board. Unfortunately, those boards aren't easy to find replacements for. One guy quoted a repair at $600....sigh. time to shop for another TV. One that isn't vizio.

Any updates on the Disney+ app? Using the Firestick is a pain.

I'm talking about an actual app like Netflix. Not casting or Airplay.

This question has been asked/answered before.
Nobody here would know that kind of information. It is up to the service providers to create a native access for smartcast. Only Disney/Vizio knows the answer. There isn't any insider information trading going on in here.

I think the Firestick is quite fast with their apps. If they added Disney+ to the Smartcast, it would probably be very slow like all of the other apps.

Most tvs built in apps are slower than a streaming stick's. But tbh smartcast + some apps have gotten faster than when I first got the sets.

While there is no good time for a set to die, during the pre Super Bowl sales frenzy is fortuitous. TCL 6 series and Sony 900Fs are cheap now. Good luck.

I’m home from back surgery.

If Vizio hasn’t fixed Clear Action by the time I’m feeling better I’m going to file for a warranty exchange. Seriously, >1yr is more than enough time to fix the problem and now I have an email from a rep at Vizio stating they’re aware of the problem and are working on it. Glad I purchased from Costco and have the 4yr warranty.

Sad, I love the TV so much but they just can’t seem to get their act together. At least keep the features you marketed the TV with working.

First and last Vizio product.

XBOX Live: Wagmman
PSN: Wagg
BFBC2: Wagman
Steam: Wag

My Second Life character looks and acts exactly like me except he can fly.

I like the fire stick but it just doesn’t do 24fps for anything outside of Prime Video. When you force it to do 24 everything on the stick is choppy outside of movies.

I'm still running with my Vizio p50 from 2016... hopping for another year of use at least. I had a power supply issue with a Samsung once, where caps would blow... maybe similar issue here and I can just replace a few caps...

I'll follow the trend and say I got my 2016 p50-c1 and p55-c1.

There are some jailbairs that have appeared in the p55 and clear action is broken but I'm living with it for now. It's only noticable in sports which I rarely watch

Yes and my P65-C1 is great. The 4 year warranty ends in a few months However if it were to fail, I'd probably get a new Vizio PX model versus the Lg OLED. My 2016 Vizio is as good as my 2018 Sony 900F just not as bright.

Didn't FandangoNow add HDR support through the TV app a little bit ago. There was an update on 1/17 and IIRC I was getting HDR before that. Also certain 4k titles don't go above 1080p now eg Captain Marvel.

Who has been watching Thursday Night Football in HDR?

I’m sure most know that the Super Bowl will be broadcast in 4k upres’d from 1080p HDR. Does anyone have any particular picture settings that they feel does live sports in HDR justice?

I watched the game on a FireStick 4k, Fox Sports App, signed in with my YouTube TV account, and it looked crystal clear. Best live TV picture I've ever seen.

I used the Roku Premiere+ (2019), Denon AVR-x4400h and Vizio p65-e1. It looked almost 3D. It was brilliant. All of my visitors were impressed with the brilliance and clarity of the picture. One visitor said that he would give Vizio a shot after seeing my TV.

Great sound through my receiver also!

Should have tried it with a FireStick 4k so you could have experienced it in 4k HDR.

Maybe next year, if Roku and Fox Sports figure out their contract differences.

P65-e1 huh?

Tuned in for awhile on my Roku Ultra and P65-C1. The image was HDR10 and looked good, the started getting some stuttering & freezing so I switched to my Dish STR with 4K HDR via HLG. Me thinks the video servers & ISP provider in my area were getting overloaded. Still the HLG HDR looked good on the Vizio.

Hi,

The Vizio p65-e1 indicated HDR as active. The app worked flawlessly on the Roku. Gave us a great experience!
