Cast and Airplay versions were updated immediately after fw update and now you have a notification about that in the left lower corner
It seems that ui is also slightly more responsive (still sluggish but it's a 4 year old tv) and panel seems more responsive too (at least with dark/bright scene switching with active full array on). Can't find the actual change log anywhere on the net though!? Imho So far so good

Vizio doesn't usually release comprehensive firmware update notes. When they have in the past it is usually vague.

Smartcast is now version 13.3 after the fw & Cast updates. Disney+ still casts 720p w/o DV from my phone. Using the Smartcast Home screen Disney+ has 4K DV but no Atmos.

I just got the 9.0.7.3 update on my P65-C1. Bad news everyone, Clear Action is still broken. Still the same behaviour as the last version - it works for a few seconds after being enabled, and then it stops.

Oh well.

I checked yesterday (19 March 2020) and received a message that my P75-C1 was up to date.

Tried again today and update 9.0.7.3 installed. Chromecast version is now 1.40.169511.

I was once a member of the beta program, but it seemed like I was on the tail end of the rollout for firmware updates for the last 3-4 of them.

I got the update on the second day. I believe it is just how Vizio has their servers staggered.

I was on Matt's original advance tester (not a real beta) list and later signed up for the second beta program with Vizio service. I cancelled from that program because the firmware was real beta and flaky. So far with the 9.X firmware I have noticed any differences except Chromecast is 1.40

What I find amusing... Google's Chromecast line/nest home line, and Lenovo Smart devices are pushing cast version 1.44 - 1.46...

Vizio goes to update and pushes 1.40 (from July 2019)

What kind of team is this?

That's a bummer. A much needed feature to be working.

9.0.7.3 arrived
1.40.169511 (outdated already, 1.44-1.46 exists on Lenovo and Google devices)
720p Disney+ still

Don't see any new features.

Disney has to update there servers now, that Vizio supports the required cast version. Smartcast has better performance, apps launch faster, particularly Netflix.

Yah it amazes me how many times I have told people that service providers are responsible for how the service works on these TVs and yet every single firmware update I see people blaming Vizio because Disney isn't working. Only Disney can fix this issue.

Emotions involved. Have you noticed any app improvements on your model, Netflix seems to be a standout. Netflix load time matches my wifes Roku now. The SmartCast loading circle has been gone for some time now, which previously existed with Netflix.

The input scrolling needs to scrapped for window listing all the inputs or maybe I can hide inactive inputs.

I forgot to turn off noise reduction after the factory reset, so input lag has been worse.

You have the 2018 or 19 model?

I no longer have the 2017 model. My 2018 Quantum doesn't seem any different with the update it received a couple hours ago. I haven't performed a factory reset yet though.

Ahhh. I guess the head of the CSR dept at Vizio who guaranteed Clear Action would be fixed 4mos ago lied. He even went out of his away to email me to give me an update saying they almost have it fixed like 2mos ago.

Time for another email to William Wang.

Not only is Clear Action not fixed, it is quite noticeably slower for the picture to come back on after changing inputs on my P55-E1. It used to take less than half the time of how it is now, and I did do a factory reset after the update. Annnnnnnd.... still no ability to hide the Watchnow & Air Play inputs.

Sent an email to the CSR dept head I’ve been interacting with on Clear Action and he says they’re still working on it but no date on when it will be resolved. You’d think 16mos was long enough to fix it.

Well, no more Vizios for me.

I was but I’m still only 2mos into recovery from surgery and what with all the coronavirus stuff I really don’t want to bother right now. I can’t even find a place to start physical therapy.

Honestly I haven’t turned on the TV much in months, I lie mostly in bed and my 65XBR900E is in the bedroom. Love that TV.
