These are from the JS9500. I followed suggestions @denpom linked. Thanks again for leading me in the right direction. I'll get some more comparisons with the new settings.

The pics are making the blooming look worse than it really is, not sure why the iPhone is doing that.

I guess Amazon has decided not to use Google Casting. You can play 4k Amazon content from any external device with an Amazon app... Roku 4, Samsung K8500 etc...

I am going to be wall mounting a P65 but I can't seem to find the required length of the M6 screw. Does anyone know?

Vizio answered my question it requires a M6 x 16 MM

Do you believe that it won't be enabled for HDR10 on the Samsung or Roku 4? Vizio P gets HDR10 in a few months. Unless you know something I don't, I'm not sure how you can say that.

I think the Samsung is rumored to get it in a few months as well. Might be "perfect" timing. Right now I don't think R4 will get HDR (haven't even seen rumors to this).

Would be interested in seeing a side by side comparison of the P55 to the P65...any billionaires reading this thread and willing to pony up the cash for this cause?

I hope it is, but I doubt roku will implementing it with roku4 more than I would Samsung in its bluray player, but who knows. Honestly I think it will take a roku 5, or some new set top 4K device next year.

Casting seems like it's going to gain steam. It's a better approach than Apple's Airplay (which I like too).

I suspect Amazon will come to their senses and realize they'd rather be in the living room with their content store than not.

The difference is well within a tolerance where it can be dialed in or accounted for.

In my experience with Vizio, (and it seems it still holds true) is that they have always looked a bit softer than other tv manufacturers I've owned (Samsung/Sony). This is what ultimately caused me to take back a Vizio P65, I bought a couple of years ago. Just one man's opinion.

That's kind of like saying "she use to be a blonde"

I'm sure you are getting what you pay for with Samsung. They have a good reputation. The value proposition of this TV is pretty amazing and you can make it as sharp as you like it.

I don't think we can compare pq from pictures, there is just way too much variables on how it will look.

Turning up sharpness is not what im after. I'd rather have a more detailed image with sharpness set closest to zero which is what I get with the Samsung, and Sony I own now. What you are essentially seeing here is an inherently better tv, and an admirable job by Vizio by giving us a load of new features others don't have, while delivering a decent picture for the price. It's all relative, and I will admit, it's a great job by Vizio, and for that price I see why it's being respected. I'm happy for all you owners, and hope Vizio keeps making improvements. I'd like nothing more than Vizio to drive competitive prices down.

With all due respect, you can't draw that conclusion from "pictures of pictures" and without having control of the test.

I respect what the OP has done to represent what he's got and what he is seeing but I also know that there's a lot more to it.
