We don't know exactly what processing it turns off. It does NOT affect the brightness that would be Clear Action.

Guys I cannot buy this TV. Does anyone know why this is going on? the website doesn't allow it, and I personally went to the Best Buy store in my city and no go. In fact the 65" was nowhere to be found in their inventory. I could get the 75", but I really don't need/want that size as I have a JVC RS400 already. Also it seems that no other retailers have this model either.

JVC RS400, Denon X6300H, Klipsch RP-280F x 2, RP-450C, RB-51 II x 2, RS-42 II x 2, RB-41 II x 2, R-150M in 7.1.4, 150" Silver Ticket

It sounds like the 65 is the set to get. Everyone wants it. Seems like the size and price is right in that perfect zone.

I always cast to the display first and then start the movie as it's been recommended. I have a brand new router and I'm connected by ethernet. I have zero issues streaming through any other device. Basically the only time casting UHD on Vudu works well for me is if I'm starting from the very beginning of a movie (and even then it typically stops 30 seconds in and buffers for a bit and then continues) and I never touch it - if I try to rewind or fast forward it will always buffer forever and downgrade to HDX or just exit the movie. If I am starting it at any point in the middle it will almost always buffer for a while then downgrade to HDX. Sometimes it will just buffer for a while and then exit the movie and the display will show the stock wallpaper in cast mode. If I do happen to get it to work, if I want to stop it and play another UHD movie, the only chance I have of it working is restarting the display and rebooting the tablet. I have no real issues with HDX, just UHD. I'm hoping the time comes soon when Oppo releases a DV/HDR10 capable streaming player and I never have to use Cast again, but until then curious if anyone else is having these issues and if there are any suggestions. I will say it has progressively gotten worse for me. It wasn't that bad when I first got the display and I feel like with subsequent Vudu/display updates it's become worse.

Yes... This is a problem since the firmware update.. Same issues with UHD

I was able to order the 75" online on June 3rd, but the next day my order was given a back-ordered notification. No one with Best Buy can give me any information on when they'll have it.

Was it a store in Oregon that let you know the 75" was available? When? I'm just curious, because if it was within the past few days, why could they not fulfill my order with a set that's available in another area? It just aggravates me that they let me order it, then tell me the next day that it's back-ordered.

Just a quick fun fact here. I just checked the 65" model online and it's available for home delivery and store pickup in my area. Perfect!

Hi there, I've been 2 weeks away from home and just started using the tv again, 2 questions, 1, can't cast Vudu, it keeps loading, and 2, any news on the HDR 10 update. Thanks.

1) no clue, not enough information 2) no 90-120 days from launch...also, if you take a look back a few pages this has been discussed at least 1-2 times.

Can't get a tv in South Carolina either. Keeps getting pushed back by a week each week. June 17th now. I stated a few weeks ago that I thought I would have a better chance to get one by going to Canada. They will get them before we do!

This is the only way I have ever done it but there are a lot of reports that say if you start the movie on your tablet first and then cast there can be issues with the quality it uses to stream (haven't verified this myself).

Totally agree with you on how horrible the interface is with trying to fast forward or rewind.

I gave into the pressure and ordered it directly from Vizio.com. There is a shipping charge, and returns are difficult (10% restocking fee, you pay return shipping), so hopefully I like it when I get it! Remembered I had a 5% off coupon, so the $140 shipping turned into a $40 shipping charge... not terrible.

In terms of the TV availability... I've been looking for a 75'' but this may be of interest to those of you still on the hunt for this TV:

Best Buy told me it would be unavailable locally for 1-2 months and it was very unusual. Then I order it from the Best Buy website only to receive an email notification that the set was in fact backordered... I called customer service and was told that "shouldn't" have been allowed to happen, but that the scheduling system on BestBuy.com is pretty new and super glitchy. That may be what many of you are also experiencing.

I looked up the TV availability state by state around where I live (Chicago area) and the closest was Ohio... I call asking to ship it from there and they say no, but for some reason this sparks another idea that none of the various Best Buy people had before. They call some local warehouse directly and tell me they're getting a new shipment in the 16th of June and I'll get it shipped directly from them to me within a couple business days after that.

So basically I should have a 75'' P Series in my home in about two to two and a half weeks. Perhaps you can ask your local Best Buys to contact their warehouse direct and inquire when the next shipments are coming in and have them ship it direct from a warehouse.

(Personally hoping casting Vudu is resolved by then as UHD 4K DV is a major reason I'm getting the TV...)

To be clear, I saw the message with the K8500 connected to my JVC RS4910 front projector with an HD Fury Integral in between. I don't plan on connecting the K8500 (or any other UHD player) to my Vizio until the HDR10 update is released.

I did a search but haven't found a good match for my issue. Is anyone else experiencing a random lockup of the screen where it requires a restart of the P65 to eliminate? I've had about 1 lockup per week for the last month or so. Thanks

(I have a marantz sr5010, along with a directv c61k receiver)

I've never noticed any motion issues since I've had mine other than on some 4k YouTube videos but the fw update fixed that.

I've reported it. No response from VUDU. There's been some improvement just tonite. The UHD movies are actually starting where you left off again, but only intermittently working. Sometimes they play, sometimes they just gray screen and do nothing. One title actually sent the display into a lockup and I had to do a soft reset.

Hope they get it fixed. It's become a real irritant and it's going on 3 weeks.

Going into my local Best Buy store (there are 2 within 5 miles of me), they have one on display but no sets available for purchase, and they are not able to order them either.

Is this some supply issue with Vizio?
It is annoying the way that BB handles their stocking/ordering. I was getting the same thing and started checking it multiple times a day for a few days, eventually it let me buy one with the option to pick it up a few days later at my local BB. I doubted the site had an accurate ETA for the pickup, so I went to the store and asked them if there was a more surefire way to get it fast. They told me they had a few in stock at the warehouse, so I cancelled my order and instead ordered one from the warehouse and went to pick it up the next day

This has been driving me nuts too...

If I have the tablet on and in the smartcast app it works perfectly, but if I'm in any other app or the screen is turned off it changes in huge intervals.

It definitely was an option a couple of weeks ago because when I wasn't able to find it at Best Buy I looked there as an alternative and they definitely had it. I decided against buying it there because I couldn't take advantage of Best Buys 24 month 0 interest financing... given my list of hobbies I'll take all the free loans I can

Try Vizio. They seem to have inventory. Otherwise you'll have to wait for BB to get a new shipment. BB may be trying to move old inventory of other sets.

To be honest my personal read of the situation is that by the time Vizio would ship it to you you'll likely be able to get it from Best Buy.

Tv has been fantastic but not flawless. The only issue I'm having is with casting picture quality which drops severely often.More now with the latest firmware updates.
