I stopped in this morning to get the lower price and she said they are being very strict this year and there are absolutely no price adjustments for Black Friday advertised specials. She was very polite about it and said she was a manager and they were given strict instructions not to adjust it for any reason.
I then said "I could return it and buy it under the new price, correct?" Nope. She said the guidelines clearly stated that if someone wanted to return an item that was in the ad, they must physically bring the item in to do the return. This means that I need to pull the mounted tv off the wall, box it up and bring it back to get the refund. She was very nice about it, but said they were instructed to make no exceptions.
Rather than driving 30 minutes home, spending an hour or more tearing it off the wall and taking it back, I simply went into the store, bought what ended up being the last one in the store and never leaving with it - I just returned it using my original receipt. The same manager did the return and just laughed and said "that's one way to do it". The guy who worked in the tv section told me that they put 12 of them out before the store opened and I was taking the last one 40 minutes later. Glad I stopped in when I did.
wow, nice! Did you use the new Citi Costco card? I am looking at the 55 inch KS800D from Costco. Now you have me nervous they may sell out. There was about 15 in stock on Saturday. I am trying to figure if this is the TV I need? Here is my post from the help me choose thread-
Looking to upgrade my old 32 inch Vizio from 2008. Finally moved out of small apartment into a condo. Viewing distance is about 6-10 feet.
Looking at three 55 inch TV's.
Primary use is cable TV, DVD watching, some movies, eventually Xbox one being hooked up.
Most likely buying the TV from Costco.
I really like the Samsung Samsung KS8000 (UN55KS800DFXZA) for $997 but am I buying too much TV for my needs?
Also considered the Vizio P55-C1. My 32 inch Vizio really did the job for us for 8 years!
For a more budget tv, I was also looking at the Vizio M55-D0 for $459 or even the Samsung KU630 models for $550.
Should I splurge for the KS8000 or look at the more budget TV's?
