Which bias lighting did you buy? I've been looking myself

Can you explain what this means? Does it mean that when I switch to Xbox one s in game mode it will be on my regular settings, but if I launch an hdr game or hdr blu ray it switches to hdr mode?

It means that your HDR settings, such as brightness and contrast, will not automatically switch in Game Mode when a HDR video is detected.

Check out Yeelights smart Led, works directly with Amazon Echo and Congress with its own switch. Great reviews and very very reasonably priced compared to Philips hue. I bought some and they are great.

I have an echo, anything else I need to buy besides this? I was considering one of the generic bias lighting with different colors and a remote that plugs into USB on the tv for power off and on

I bought a UN60KS8000 from BB as a open box a few days ago. I'm hoping someone is willing to sell me their stands from their TV that they mounted on the wall? I'm in Atlanta and will pay for them as well as shipping of course. Any takers that is willing to offer them to me?

When I try to redeem it states my serial number is invalid. I checked it several times and I am entering the correct one but I am still getting the invalid serial number message. Also, on the page where you enter the serial number and date of purchase, there is a file upload button that you must use but it does not state what file to upload (I guess Samsung thinks its customers are mind readers and they must save words on the webpage explaining what file.) I assume it is a screen shot of the serial number or the bar-scan thing the TV produces on the same screen it shows the serial number. I tried pictures of both and neither worked.

Anyone have same problem? Any fix?

I bought from Costco a few months ago and had the same issue. It was a long fight but finally got it.
First part is registering the serial number. After a few days back and forth with Samsung CS they said they would do the registration for me with pictures of the receipt.
After that was completed it took a few WEEKS to have the Samsung checkout website not error every time I tried. All good now.

I can't help you there.

However, you could try eBay:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Samsung-TV-L...8AAOSwvKtY-2-s

You could just about buy a table top stand that uses the VESA mounts on the set for what this person is asking, but if you want feet...

The stands are on Samsung's official part store, you have to buy them separately as left and right but they are $8 each. Also beware of the eBay listing, it shows working for multiple sizes but I tried giving my 65" stands to a friend for his 60" and they didn't fit.

The eBay link I provided claims they are from a UN60KS8000. This wasn't really a recommendation; $70+ seemed overpriced.

Can you provide links and/or part numbers for the feet? I looked here:

http://www.samsungparts.com/Default.aspx

but didn't find any mounts listed.

Did anyone figure out how to disable the static dimming present in movie, cal-day, cal-night mode in the service menu? I've been looking around but could not find it.

So I'm looking to buy the 65" ks8000, thinking of getting one through walmarts refurb but I'm concerned about the backlight bleed, anyone here buy theirs that way and have to exchange it? Will wal mart hassle me about it if I get one that isn't acceptable for that?

Hi,

I've totally messed up the service menu of my ks8000. Could anyone with the same kind of tv (Or ks9000) please share your settings of this TV. Thank you very much and I look forward to receiving your help.

MOST NEEDED: SVC > Expert = OFF/ON/FIX?, Picture Direct = OFF/ON? Option > Type Of Panel Key = ? , Control > Subwoofer Support = ? (5?), Control > RS-232 Jack = ?

No TVs sold in North America have it, likely due to digital copyright protection legalities.

What would be cool is if the lights changed tint based on what was on the tv screen.

Yeah sorry, I'm not finding the stand there for the 60" or 65" anymore, just the 55". Unfortunately the eBay listings may be your only option now, unless you want to go with something like this http://www.bestbuy.com/site/sanus-pr...?skuId=5463304

I tried to buy the Walmart refurbished 65KS8000 and it arrived with a big hole in the outer box through the inner box... out in the parking lot, I opened it and the screen was broken. Thankfully, a Walmart worker was with me and I returned it on the spot. And I'm so glad - as I bought a brand new one for almost the same price. I don't think I can say on the forums where I bought - but you can get a much better deal - especially when you consider the 90 day warranty on the refurbished is another $99. I'm so thankful mine was broken and I bought new instead. Just a heads up!

Sorry, I couldn't edit my original post - meant to say the refurbished had a 90 day warranty and buying the extended warranty was another $99.

That would be very cool. I think I saw that it will make the lights flow with the sound of music though like others do. That's pretty cool. It's truly the cheapest led strip to allow echo and offer smart features.

Don't think there's such a thing. Remember: some say there is dimming present in Movie mode. Others say that there is not.

But even those claiming it's present in Movie mode have admitted it doesn't happen in cal-day / cal-night - so there wouldn't be anything to do for those modes.

Hello everyone, I think I'm ready to pull the trigger on the 65ks8000. Quick question with the viewing angle and my setup. Do you think I'll have any issues with a sectional couch on the sides on the wall while watching? My room is 12' across with the tv stand in the middle.

I don't think you will. My room is also about 12' across and I have a chair that is against the wall all the way to the left of the screen, probably at a 30 degree angle from the screen. I have the curved 8500 series and don't notice much difference if any in color. Some are more sensitive to this so mileage will vary.
