Yeah. I brought up the settings menu to see what had changed. Brightness and I'm not sure what else changed. I'll have time later on and I'll take a looksie.
Thanks let me know what you see changed and I'll confirm on my set.

The legs are about 1.5in from width of tv.

I noticed when installing mine that I think there's a 2nd slot for legs more in center of tv, about 1ft from each side. So you should be okay i'dassume.

My bad, thought it was brightness that cranked but it was backlight that cranks to 20 when HDR runs.
I don't know if it matters, but I change my settings to "current source" only, so when I make a change when I'm watching cable it doesn't affect other sources.

I'm so jealous I can only get a 43in and the only one that has a 43in is ku7000. TV stand can hold the 49in considering the width is actually 43in wide. Wonder if they'll have 43in later in the year.

Those are some deep blacks that rtings measured. That's around what my ST30 measures, and only about twice what my ST60 measures.

I hope we see some of these excellent static contrast ratio's leak over into the PC space, My IPS monitors can light a dark room with a solid black screen and the backlight turned all the way down.

Regarding the motion blur, is the 18ms response time of any legitimate concern compared to the 11ms of the JS9000? I get that it's an owner to owner issue, but would the vast majority of people notice it?

My primary uses would be cable tv/sports and then gaming in that order, and while I feel the KS8000 would most likely be fine, I buy TVs so in infrequently I feel a lot of pressure to get this purchase right (it's been almost 8 years since I bought my Panny plasma...).

Those with the 65" Ks8000, would you mind posting some pictures (especially movies with black bars), to see if there are any issues?

Great offer on Ebay for the 65" KS8000. I snapped one and hopefully receive it end of April. Will be replacing my 2016 Vizio P55. I hope it does not disappoint me as I expect more vivid colors compared to the Vizio.

So far no problems streaming youtube 4k. The app also has a best of youtube section with 4k content.

Yeah I can't tell either. I select 4K video but the info says "hd" at the top.

Is that offer for real? Great price...makes me a little suspicious...I really want to get it from a local store though in case there are any issues.

If you go to settings you can enable Show video info. The videos I have watched say 4K at the top. What i don't see is a way to switch video quality like you can do on a pc. Use either the section on the left or do a search for 4k videos.
You will see in the video info
Dimensions: 1920x1080*2
Resolution: [email protected]
On regular HD video the resolution will say whatever the resolution is ie [email protected]

Yeah, that price is bonkers for a TV that has been in the market for... less than a month? Please keep us updated!

Buydig is a very large company so I'm certain its real. Unfortunately for me I can't buy until next mont after I close on my house :-(. I hope they or someone else has it at that price in 2 months because I'm in for sure.

How do people here feel about buying something like this from EBay? Is there a way to buy a warranty somewhere? I'd just hate to get stuck with a TV that has issues of some sort and not feel like I could easily exchange it at like Best Buy.

I think thats the biggest potential issue. If there was a problem where it didn't work I think Buydig will take it back. If its screen uniformity or something like that, I'm not sure how well you would be protected. For $800 I would take my chances.

I bought a TV from buydig years ago. It was hard to exchange it...put me through hoops but ultimately they exchanged it. But wonder why it's not on their site but on Ebay. However that's a deal.

If it's that cheap from Buydig, hopefully retailers will be offering steep discounts soon. Or when it comes to Sam's or Costco it will be $2-2.2k. Would love to see the dark version for same cost as p65.

Question for those that wall mounted. Are the mounting screws already in the back of the TV or do you have to buy them? Also size and length needed?

Thanks

thanks, but those look like adapters not actual screws. I got the info M8 15mm same as the HU8550, so should be a simple take down and put up.

My Whalen tv stand came with M8x40 mm screws. They are at the top of my tv with the Whalen spacers. To use the spacers at the bottom i had to buy M8x50mm screws. I had everything mixed together so I don't remember any screws coming with the tv. I just remember wall mount spacers coming with the tv.

are there any calibration settings yet? I'm pretty happy with the PQ, but I think it could be a little better with calibration.

Anyone read this yet? Only thing that stood out is that they claim 40ms input lag whereas rtings put it at 20ms. I trust rtings over that site.

https://reviews.lcdtvbuyingguide.com...n55ks8000.html

Also, what panel version do those with 65in have? It's on the box by serial info.
