I was also very interested in this specification for the purposes of determining for planning purposes where I would install my wall bracket.
The 400 x 300 VESA mounting holes are not perfectly centered vertically, but they are very close--unlike on the much thinner 930D series, which have the mounting holes on the lower half of the back panel.
As you can see on the attached diagram (pertinent holes and measurements highlighted in red), the distance from the top row of mounting holes to the top of the display is 287.4mm and the commensurate bottom measurement is 251.8mm, for a total vertical back measurement of 839.2mm (the vertical measurement on the front of the panel is 846.9mm, which appears to account for an appurtenance on the center bottom.
