I installed 2x dual arms at home. One is the umax 85 and the other one is a vizio m75. They both came out very well mounted.

The mount give you access space to work with in the back. Make sure you tighten the tilt knob down and pull to your need.

Nice to hear the Chinese firmware works with Apple TV. I purchased the Harry Potter films in 4K Dolby Vision and will be buying an Apple TV 4k this weekend. Time to upgrade to the Chinese firmware...

Anyone want to try the latest 6.5.064S_1202 firmware?

That doesn't show on their site yet, is it a beta release? For anyone running the Chinese firmware does this show up for online update?

I found the link on a Russian discussion board. See post 2097 here: http://4pda.ru/forum/index.php?showtopic=754648&st=2080

That's an interesting site with Russians doing the same type of work we are. I verified the Umax85 has the required MStar 6A938 processor.

I haven't tried that and honestly don't think I will. I have an Apple TV 4K and a Sammy K8500 that both stream Netflix. Maybe someone else will give a shot, though.

LeEco TV unit news. They are limping along.

This one discusses new TV's being introduced and mentions version 6.5.

it look like the file is for LeEco Super TV 4 X50 / X50 Pro, not umax85

And I don't think Harry Potter 4k disc have Dobly Vision, only HDR 10

Is the online update not working? That was how I updated mine originally.

No its not working. I get a data error almost immediately when I click update.

The tvdatabase directories are identical in both the 6.0.059S and 6.5.064S firmwares. I believe the UMax 85 is listed in that directory as X485U.

iTunes has many movies in 4K Dolby Vision. All the Harry Potter films on iTunes are in 4K Dolby Vision when played on an Apple TV 4K.

Wondering does anyone have links that work or can post here or on dropbox or wherever for the manual and quick start guide PDF's? The ones in the original post seem to not be active anymore? Or feel free to PM me for an email if that is easier. About to try to tackle unboxing this beast today as I'm finally ready for install but I want to make sure I know what I'm doing for the unboxing (hopefully mentioned in the guide?) and mounting the feet, etc..

The "manual" is kind of useless but does show how to unbox and set it up. Here it is: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1zF-...L5QUij_J3LIdZ/

You should be able to copy it onto a USB drive, name it update.zip, and use the TV's off line update.

Any idea as to why my soundbar or the tv speakers are not working? I played with both auto/pcm settings neither of those would kick the soundbar on. It was working last night. I connected it using the optical cord. When i turn the tv speakers on those dont work either.

Happy New Year Umax owners! I was under strict instructions from my wife NOT to brick the tv while bowl games were on and out of town guests were here visiting. Also, I do not have a 3rd party warranty for the tv so its all or nothing. I've gotten a thumb drive that works and ready to go Chinese.
Chris, I've studied your Dropbox instructions and pictures closely and I am not confident about the #14 in the following steps:

13. If you can see this screen, it means you are all set for Chinese firmware update, but they are all in Chinese
14. Click “SETUP” button from the remote and click on the last option for SYSTEM SETTING
15. Click the third option for “GENERAL”

How you got the tv to go from screenshots 13 to 14 is my concern. The menu shown has an orange dialogue box above the top, far right icon (?Setup-looks like a home). You state "click Setup from the remote"...does this mean press the SELECT button of the remote on this top, far right icon? If so, is this how that icon becomes the typical gear icon we know as SYSTEM SETTINGS and then you get an expanded vertical menu box, with the last item selectable being the tool icon which you state is system setting? Or more simply, in 14 when you say to click SETUP button from the remote, which button is that?

Sorry to be dense, I just want to be careful. I've clicked on the link to US firmware to roll back and I get a Page Not Found error message. Thanks.

There is a "setup" button (above NETFLIX with GEARS) from the remote control, once you press that button, the SETTINGS menu will show up. I think this is the same from US firmware.

Thanks for the clarification. I just considered this the Settings button that you are calling the Setup button.
Building up courage as I type. Also, thanks to Acey for the better link for US firmware.

Okay, slightly panicking here. I've properly loaded the new firmware but I can't get the tv to reset to default by using the combination from the remote. Setting, Vol +, Ch Up, Ch Dn, Vol -, Power. I've done it twice and I get the same screenshot that is shown in the instructions in #8 LeTV with chinese under the logo. Any suggestions?

Sorry for the blow by blow narration. After the 6th attempt at powering off the tv manually on the lower left corner and going though the reset combination by remote, I've gladly seen AL Freaking Pacino!
I'll keep going and get back to you all.
