Its panel related.
Its related to the pixel reaction time.
i remember it from the past with old PC LCD screens that had huge latency's and insane motion blur.
Black to white delay was insanely high. Grey to grey even worse.
My 55W829b did show much motion blur. But the 75X8505c did. especially darker objects on lighter backgrounds like blue clouds, yellow/cream desert colors or white backgrounds are the worst. I thought this was less off a issue with the 940D.
I use the Movie Gamer to test this there are quite some scenes where my current X850C fails hard. If i get the chance i will test it on a 940E before i buy one.
Btw i was able reduce the effect by using motion flow but then you get Soap Opera effect. Same with a PC. If you have the screen at 30Hz its worse vs 60Hz thats why i ran 1080p 60Hz vs 4K 30Hz the blur trails just to annoying. I guess higher motion flow settings will boost the pannel refresh rate to 120Hz and thus increasing the pixel response speeds. But i dont know for sure.
I now use a custom setting. with light smoothing i like it more then stock 24p Soap opera effect is not that bad actually good. And there are not a lot of glitches/stutters (they are rarely occurring)
I hope the 940E with the X1 Extreme can do these things even better!
