UPDATE: Exhanged the TV and have absolutely zero issues with the new one. It was just the luck of the draw with my first panel.
This makes me feel a lot better knowing it was just a dud, glad you got it swapped and the issue is gone!

Thanks. I used the AVS 709 test patterns to set my brightness and contrast levels and the numbers I got were just a very little off from yours. What really made a big difference was the Gamma setting. I must confess that as a guy that's far from expert at this stuff I didn't know exactly what that setting did. In fact even after reading up on it I still don't. What I do know is that a 2.4 setting the picture is horribly dark. At the 2.0 setting you suggested it looks great. I'm trying out 2.2 a bit right now to see if the in between setting will fit my viewing better. It's just a wee bit darker than I would like but more "contrasty" and "punchy".

Have you by any chance calibrated your tv to set the grayscale? I don't have the tools or knowledge to do that not but am pretty sure I could acquire both if it would make much of a difference.,

I have not. Nor have I tried any of the grey scale settings in the reviews or other posts.

I also am using the 2.2 setting at the moment. I tried the 2.0 setting but it seemed too bright.

Received my Christmas gift early as my spouse wanted to start using it right away. Good news is that the panel is looking fantastic. I'm not noticing the issues others have pointed out, so I'm very happy!

With this being the last day for the $449.00 Costco deal I have deceived to go ahead with the purchased. I was originally going to buy a P607 but the $200.00 price difference and 4 year warranty have won out over the better picture quality of the P607. I am hoping my experience with the TV is more like the PCMAG.com review vs the rtings.com review.

I'm very happy with the purchase! I think the C series does quite well against the P series. To me they seemed close enough to jump on the C. For the price you are paying I think you will absolutely enjoy it.

Seems like everyone has a different idea of how sharp the picture should be. I think I have mine set at 70. Anyway I bought a 4k blu-ray player and have a 4k copy of Oblivion and the picture is amazing. Especially considering the price.

You're getting the opposite of what you want. I use 20 sharpness on just my cable TV feed. 0 on everything else.

I really recommend using Rting.com's settings.

I have put together a complete 4K system for less than $1000. Got this TV at Costco for $460, Yamaha TSR 5830 at Costco for $330 and a Philips 7302 4K blu-ray player for $160 at Sam's Club. Fortunately I already had seven speakers and a subwoofer for a 5.1.2 Dolby Atmos capable system. I see today that they announced that HDMI 2.1 is ready and that will lead to the need to upgrade in a couple of years but at least I won't feel so bad. And by then DVDs will probably be discontinued as streaming takes over completely so I won't need to replace that part.

Edit: Finally got ARC to work, thought it was a problem with my HDMI cable but it was a setting on the TV. Wow this new technology is complicated and I taught mathematics at a technical college.

Costco now has the 75C803 (no enhanced remote) for $1399.99. Says it arrives in 7-10 business days.

Wow thanks, that's a huge difference from the 75C807 selling for $1999.99 or higher at Amazon. Are we sure the only difference is still just the remote? Everything else is the same including the quad front speaker array, motion processing, etc?

That Costco introductory sale price ends tomorrow, I wonder what their regular price is.

Saving $600 by foregoing the enhanced remote is a no brainer. Plus you get an extra year warranty from Costco. Plus another 2 years if you use a Costco Visa.

this should be selling very well for prospective 75" buyers.

Definitely, and we can still buy the latest Roku player enhanced remote for $30 (missing just the mute button), or the TCL Roku TV enhanced remote for $60 -- see here.

Interestingly the 75C803 isn't at my local Costco, guess it's online-only for now? The store did give out $25 coupon for online orders though, that was nice.

I'll cancel my 75C807 Amazon pre-order. And kinda regret buying 3 of the 65C807's a couple months back for $1,099.99, since the 75" is now only $300 more

Looks like (as of today) Costco's normal price for the 75C803 is $1799.99, so only $200 less than the 75C807. Based on their sale history with the 55C803, could Costco have the $1399.99 sale again on and off in the next few months?

Anyways Costco gave me a delivery date of Dec 22, which is even earlier than Amazon's delivery date of Dec 29 (from my November pre-order for 75C807).

Yes they could. I was going to buy my Yamaha receiver from Costco for $349 but missed the sale and it went up to $389. But a couple of weeks later it dropped to $329 and I bought it. I bought my TV there for $549 and it dropped to $449 and they gave me the $100 back.

I purchased the 75C803 during costco's $1399 sale. I have a C7 OLED, 55P607, and last generation Panasonic plasmas. This thing is incredible, especially for the price. The colors are extremely vivid but accurate, the contrast ratio is excellent (no local dimming but it doesn't need it, the black are amazing), and the overall image quality is incredible. Another bonus is that it has a glossy screen, not semi-gloss like other sizes. This makes the image appear sharper. It is a keeper for sure. Another interesting thing I found was that the 75" C803 has motion interpolation, as well as BFI, both of which have option for Low, Medium, High, and Off. The motion interpolation is actually excellent with far fewer artifacts than I see with Samsung motion interpolation, but not as good as Sony. The input lag also measures ~16ms with my leo bodnar tester. This set would be a great price even at $2500. The image quality combined with the Roku platform is just excellent. Highly recommend this set.

That's great to hear.

How was Costco's freight delivery, and did you opt for the $45 White Glove service?

Also how does the 75C803's quad front speaker array sound, compared to your 55P607?

No white glove, just regular shipping. Took 7 days. Box came in perfect condition, no dents or smashed corners. The Speakers actually sound worse than the P607's speakers, however it does create a nice look. I am sure it wouldn't be too difficult to swap out the speakers with higher quality ones, as it is nice to have them front firing. I use a dedicated sound system so it doesn't bother me but could be a fun project.

My BIL received his 75" yesterday. Box was also perfect. Very well constructed packing. First reaction out of the box was silver bezel trim was nice change of pace. No loose screws around the back panel. We were all set up to mount on wall and hit a snag. The VESA width is 600mm. The mount was only 400mm so no install and Monoprice can't get a new mount delivered till next Wednesday with holiday crush. As with the 55P mounting holes are in the bottom half of the TV.

We set it up on the floor with Dish as only input and frustratingly slow internet. Not much to work with. Took an hour to update. With factory settings reds were neon bright. I changed settings to match the 55P for a starting point. Reds much better. Found John Wick 2 and was decent picture depending on scene. Dark scenes looked good for a compressed signal. With limited viewing appears to have great potential. At $1399 a great feature set. With a little tinkering and better source material I think people are really going to like this set.

Can't comment on sound as we set up a $129 Vizio 2.1 soundbar right out of the chute. Was pleasantly surprised by the sound . Might have to pick one up for the bedroom.

Don't forget to set color space to "Auto" on sources like cable tv. If you keep it at native, it will apply the wide color gamut to non-wide color gamut material and make the colors look ultra saturated.

Question to those who own the 65" C series. Is the screen glossy?

Thank you all. The 65C807 looks to have a (mild?) antiglare, but I'll have to compare it to the 75C803 that's coming tomorrow.

Did 2 freight guys carry the box into the house, or 1 guy with a dolly?

I already have the Kanto FMX3 articulating mount screwed to the wall to anticipate the 75C height (based on the 65C measurements). (Have 5 of these mounts installed, they were on sale for $120 at some point.)

I opted for Costco's white glove service, and am hoping that after unboxing, we can screw the 2 brackets to back of TV and then hoist it to the wall mount, before they leave?

But you can still pair the C803 with the TCL enhanced TV remote ($60), or the new Roku Enhanced Voice Remote ($30) from the 2017 Ultra if you don't need the mute button.

The C803 initially hides the UI menu that deals with Wi-Fi remotes, but it'll show up after the first boot-up pairing, or if you manually toggle it:

Home x 5, FF, Play, RW, Play, FF
-> "RF Remote Menu"
-> "Enable full UI support for remote"

The TV controls, voice commands, headphone jack and remote finder all work.  It just sacrifices the TCL remote's mute button for A/B gaming buttons (and a few other differences such as button shapes/placement, matte vs glossy front, flat vs rounded back, etc).

You could also use the new $20 remote [RC127 / RC150] from 2017 Streaming Stick/+ if you just need the TV buttons and voice commands...

What's interesting is that once paired, these new remotes' power and volume buttons work on the Roku TV set via Wi-Fi instead of IR, just like the original TCL enhanced remote.  IR not even an option in this case.
