Audio format surround switching issue with Samsung TV's.

Can anyone else confirm this issue. I have an MU8000 TV.

An example.

I watch Amazon TV. The audio output format is Dolby Digital +. I then switch to a USB movie that has a DTS surround audio track only. When I switch back to Amazon TV, because DTS is not available it reverts to PCM stereo. So I have to keep manually selecting the surround format else I will end up with stereo.
(Settings > Sound > Expert Settings > Digital Output Audio Format)
I initially thought the workaround was to use PCM and thought the TV was sending multi channel uncompressed PCM to my receiver. But have since found out this is stereo only, by testing with this channel checker hd_dts_hd_master_audio_sound_check_5_1_lossless.m2 ts

Is anyone else experiencing this issue?

Between individual Smart Apps, the TV appears to remember your audio output preferences. I think the USB option should too.

To summarise:

Smart Apps OK
Open Amazon TV > Dolby Digital +
Open BBC iPlayer > PCM
Open Amazon TV again > Dolby Digital +

Switching between Smart Apps and USB
Open Amazon TV > Dolby Digital +
Open USB movie with DTS > DTS
Open Amazon TV > PCM Stereo
