Awesome news! Currently using 55 inch version in my home-office. It was a pain to buy and bring it to Vancouver from south of the border. I remember getting dinged with taxes also at the customs. 65inch will be good for well-lit living room.

I bought an LG C7 last July but if I hadn't I would take a good look at these...sounds like the winner in terms of price/performance...although the LG will be better in terms of overall picture quality

In time for the young adults going to university, they can continue gaming and streaming and be affordable for mom and dad.

Great to have a best value for performance contender in our market, and I would definitely consider a 55” for a gaming set....hopefully the usd to cdn$ conversion is fair

I briefly saw on reddit that there is variability in the quality of the panels?

Someone locally is selling a brand new Roku TV 55R617 for $750 CDN

All my TVs are 65 inch but maybe a smaller one for the kids?

From quoted 3rd quarter in the article it looked like it was planned for Sept release(Labour Day long weekend would have been a perfect time), maybe its changed now to be released closer to Black Friday in November.

Probably amazon.ca and bestbuy will carry those to start with.

The amazon page has been added and gradually updated, but they don't appear to be in stock/shipping yet...

No change on Amazon. I reached out to TCL's PR and they confirmed unfortunately the Q3 release has slipped but there will be some "exciting announcements" in the near future for Canadians.

Based on this, sounds like the launch is more likely to be around late-October/early-November.

My excitement for TCL coming to Canada has been greatly reduced seeing as the 6 series will essentially be arriving 6 months after release, at full price.

Looks like the 55" model is now in stock, 65" is not yet.

65" model is now being stocked (was in stock for most of today but sold out).

Not sure if they have shipped any yet as my order from Sept 19 still hasn't.
