Hmmm. Maybe. You could also just lower the quality. 25% looks pretty comparable to a TV's, but doesn't take a lot of CPU power. Also it's only 1080p and up that's taxing. 720p runs at 100% quality with virtually no overhead.

Also, is fan speed a big deal when you're watching something? Generally the audio is louder than a fan anyway

Also, there's a free version that you could try out and see how it performs.

I saw someone posted they ordered through BestBuy, has anyone else been able to? I do see Costco is available, but I have no membership and no store nearby to warrant getting one. Sorry if this off topic, I WANT to be an owner 😉

I picked up a LG C8 tv last week, so news that the PQ is finally being released makes me laugh a little as I was tired of waiting but didn't have to wait that much longer in reality. I'm hoping reviews are super positive and this set doesn't have to many issues out of the gate. If I end up not keeping my C8, I'll have some hard choices now with the price drop on the QLEDs. Good luck to the early adopters. Looking forward to the reviews.

When you quote there is a "see more" button so you don't see the whole quote on mobile.

Edit, I didn't think to check the desktop view. Thanks.

I ordered the PQ last Friday through Costco. They will be delivering it to me this Friday (7/27). I'll let you guys know how it is once I get it set up (I current have a 55 B7 Oled so it will be interesting to see how this one stacks up).

Pretty sure they have to get it through customs as well , as I don't see any way to buy vizio in Canada (at least not the current models)

I am very eager to read your feedback! I was looking at the LG C8 but decided to wait and see what this new Vizio will look like. Its cheaper and since my room is not completly dark (it's a family room with windows, not a dark home cinema room) I think the brightness of the Vizio might be a better idea.

One drawback of the Vizio (which isn't a big deal though): no cable management in the stand.

Anxious to hear feedback on the P75 Vizio from Costco. I am on the fence about whether to get the Sony 75" 900F or save the extra $1000 and get the Vizio.

I am also looking forward to hearing about this tv. I have been considering the LG C8 but if this Vizio turns
out to be similar to Samsung QLED this is a pretty sweet deal. Coming from plasma my big concern with
LCD is off angle viewing and motion handling.

Has anyone been able to find out if/when the PQ will be on display in stores? I just called my local BestBuy (zip 20155) and they said they have nothing in stock or planned for floor model displays. Hoping someone has been able to acquire better intel.

Because they are bought out as soon as they show in stock by everyone here! lol

I really wish they made a 75" in this new series.

I'm referring strictly to display models to check out in person, not in-store stock.

That's what he said. BB is selling more than they can stock so there are no sets available to display. He is also implying that there are no such creatures as "display models." They come out of stock.

This may very well be the case. It just seems that for their most anticipated TV ever Vizio would've made plans, i.e. required all BB stores, to have a dedicated Vizio Quantum display in every store whether it comes out of normal stock or is part of a display refresh project. Pretty sure they do this for a lot of things, e.g. the recent Sonos Beam release. I was hoping that someone had heard from BB or has insider knowledge of the display plans. Would sure beat driving to BB every few days just to see if there's one on display. Thanks

Ordered PQ on Friday, first time ordering a TV without seeing the TV first. Going nuts with anticipation right now.

Could use some clarification please. Will the PQ via firmware or out of the box support VRR and ALLM? I contacted Vizio technical support asking this same question and got a yes answer. Though I am not sure the person understood what VRR is.

Thank you in advance.

Posts deleted.

This is an owner's thread. It is not for discussion of pricing, or politics. Keep it to technical discussions. I would really hate for it to turn into strictly an owner's only thread like many of the other threads. If you are a potential owner, please limit posts to technical questions for owners. Any other commentary, take to the announcement thread.

Please use the report post button to alert staff to problematic posts. Never quote or respond to them yourself.

@teachsac it may be good to edit the thread title to include **No Price Talk** this way people don’t “forget” and new people should know via title.

An AV store/TV sales shop I bought from for years the conversation would have gone like this: Your TV is here and we'll set it up tomorrow to check. Let's plan the usual 5 day 'floor operation'. We'll call you to make a delivery appointment. They delivered or I picked up nothing until they had it running on the floor. Generally they asked me to stop by to check it out. If I bought an 'in stock' TV in the carton they did the same.

I've expressed interest in this display to a shop near here and they've pretty much agreed to do the same.
