Nu8000 vs q6f

I am looking at the 75" version of each of these sets. There was a Samsung rep at BB who offered me $200 off on the q6 plus a $100 gift card which brings the price difference down to only $400. $2300 for the Nu8000 vs $2700 for the q6.

I went in for the Nu8000 but should I upgrade to the q6 for that difference?

Use will be 98% gaming, 2% tv/movies.

XBL & PSN: Vcize

Hit me up on XBL if you're going to be playing CoD Ghosts or the PS Vita

I wouldn’t. There is very little performance difference between the two sets.

My humble main system:
Vizio M75-E1; Oppo 203 universal UHD player; Denon 4300H AVR, Dual PSA S1801's; Monitor Audio Silver RX-6 mains, RX center, and RX surrounds; one pair NHT mini Atmos speakers; Home-built HTPC (Xeon E1230, 16gb RAM, Crucial M500 480gb SSD, GeForce 980Ti, Corsair CX600, CoolerMaster mini-ITX case); Roku Premiere+; Amazon 4K Fire TV

Not true at all. Their respective brightness levels in all modes are virtually identical.

I was facing the same dilema, but ultimately decided that the difference wasnt worth the cost.

I've been looking at these as well in either 65" or 75". Seems you get way more out of the Q8F.
We currently have a 65" but wanted to go up a size.
Haven't pulled the trigger yet.

True, good FALD vs. mediocre edge dimming, but you also pay way more. It's $1,200 more for the 65" Q8FN vs. the NU8000 and $1,600 more for the 75" Q8FN vs. the NU8000. Not trivial differences.
