Would it be possible for you to post an initial impression of the TV before you do the full review? I'm just curious about the out of the box experience

Insiders on the website have access to some of our results a few days before the review is published, but we've never done anything like that before. I've passed along your suggestion though, we'll see.

Okay. Thank you for the clarification. A much anticipated review! Looking forward to seeing how this tv performs

Yeah pretty sure that’s a vizio sponsored review. Considering on the grey load up screen you can see the backlight circling (in the digital trends preview/unboxing) just like on the 2018 PQ. That might be an indication that the backlight algorithm hasn’t changed and that blooming may still be an issue contradictory to what he says in the review. Time will tell.

I mean its a talking voice in front of the promotion video that Vizio released for the PQX. I posted the youtube links a few days ago. I didnt bother listening to the whole video but from what I sampled the speaker is just repeating specs and known info. This is not a review or original video content. Don't waste time watching or promoting here. My take is someone is trying to get ad clicks by leeching off other peoples interest. I'll take that back if someone can point to new information in the video or if these guys actually have the TV. They say "they got an early look" early in the video.

Well regardless of its flaws my P series quantum looks amazing so I’m sure the 2019 will look even better. I wouldn’t be surprised to see a peak brightness of 3300 nits as the 2018 model exceeds its peak brightness by hundreds of nits. That’s not just a one off thing either. Numerous people, testers and reviewer‘s have all gotten similar results with the brightness. Well over 2000 nits which is why I expect the 2019 models at 2900 nits to be well over as well. Any which way I’m excited to see the reviews

The 2018 pq looks awesomenon the brightness side. Color are vivid too. At todays prices I would have gotten it from Costco vs going for the 75"nu8000 I bought in March. Im just not sure about the under powered smartcast and FALD implementation. Part of why I switched to the nu8000 from my older js8500 is because the smart tv app was so buddy and slow.

The one youtube review which actually had the TV looks promising. Bit discouraged that the UI is still slow. Worried the cpu is the same and might impact running the FALD algorythms (worried about the lost in space flickering and blooming from the 2018 PQ despite reports of some improvements from the latest FW). Will need to wait for more reviews.

Best Buy now shows P759 delivery starting Tuesday (with in-store pickup on Wed/Thurs). Costco has pushed up the PX75 date to Friday.

I wonder when the non-X appears at Costco.

Hmmm. I just searched for the PX75 on Costco.com and it doesn’t even show up any more...and I definitely found it a day or two ago.

As a 2016 P series owner I very intrigued by the P Quantum more so than the X. I think a lot of it comes down to brightness. While not the brightest in the world, my current P Series can get fairly bright in scenes for what i watch and I imagine the PQX will be insanely bright, especially if you watch in a darker lighting. As such the P Quantum seems to be a nice sweet spot. I just really wish Vizio would innovate in their processors. I'd wager that they are the same as the ones in my 2016 unit. Also, I think Vizio should abandon their proprietary smart cast OS and just move to Android TV or license Roku OS.

So, how bright does it get with FALD at low and have they addressed their scaling, gradient and fald tracking issues? If not, high quality content and low fald setting would be the way to go.

Here's another review.

Glowing review from Reviewed.com: https://www.reviewed.com/televisions...um-x-tv-review

And a less than stellar review from a Costco.com customer: https://www.costco.com/Vizio-65%22-C...100495141.html
ibed will bother you."

I'm starting to think that the PX65 uses the exact same LCD panels as the PQ65, just with brighter backlights, and more zones.

Waiting for the h9f reviews, if not will get a Q8fn or q9fn quand take no risk.

Damn I wish Vizio delivered this year. Maybe future firmware will fix early issues

Thanks for the video compilation sfsilicon. That next-to-last one on the background brightness refresh is kind of startling. I'll definitely be curious to see if that is a common issue because that's the kind of thing my eyes would seek out and find super distracting. I was pretty sold on getting one of these (was only holding off due to moving in a month), but I'm wait-and-see now.

He's messing with the backlight settings while in the DV HDR pictures modes though. I thought it was a known thing that anything but the default '100' in HDR modes can dramatically mess with the picture (not in a good way)?

Anybody out there have any info regarding a release date for the 43” M-series (M437-G0)?

No info as far as I can tell. I keep looking periodically, but no go. If anyone has info please post.

New Video from Quantum on the 2019 P Series. He loves his Q8FN and says it can be as good but you need to calibrate because out of the box its crap. Hope he checks out the PX too. Comments about non-game mode delay are scary.

Why would you ever try to game or care about input lag outside of game mode? I assume the input lag will be close to the PQ65 in game mode on a normal hdmi port and the 5th hdmi port is probably < 15ms
