Samsung has officially unveiled its comprehensive 2019 4K and 8K TV lineup, including the new QLED Q60, Q70, Q80 and Q90 4K models.






The 2019 QLED TVs from Samsung are here, featuring a broad array of models including newly announced 4K options from 43 inches to 82 inches, which join the 8K QLED options from 65 inches to 98 inches that were announced at CES 2019. The new 4K lines are named the Q60, Q70, Q80 and Q90 while the 8K models are the Q900 series. the company has also announced updates and enhancements of The Frame and The Serif lifestyle focused TVs.

The Q900 series is available to order now. Prices are $4999.99 for the 65" model, $6999.99 for the 75" model and $9997.99 for the 82" model (on Amazon) and that includes free shipping.


The 65" 2019 Q900 8K QLED

There is a broad range of new features available on Samsung QLED TVs for 2019. It starts with Ultra Viewing Angle, which eradicates the limitations of VA LCD panels, now you can have high contrast and rich color even if you sit off to the side, plus these screens are extraordinarily effective at reducing glare and reflections.

Samsung's 2019 Q70, Q80 and Q90 QLED models, as well as the 8K Q900 models, utilize direct full array technology, a.k.a. FALD that delivers deeper blacks with improved overall contrast. And all of these models feature high-powered processors, either the Quantum Processor 4K or the Quantum Processor 8K, depending on the model.

Universal Guide

A number of the new features were first debuted at CES 2019 on the Q900 8K series QLEDs. One is the Universal Guide, which utilizes an AI algorithm to sort through a viewer's subscription services and other content, allowing you to create custom recommendations that aggregates the content from the services. What's more, Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant will soon be supported. And now, farfield voice recognition capability will be built into Samsung's OneRemote.

Gamer Friendly

Gamers will enjoy the enhanced feature set of Samsung's QLED TVs. Real Game Enhancer technology leverages AMD Freesync for tear and stutter-free graphics while Game Motion Plus processing mitigates motion blur and judder. And auto game mode ensures that TV is game mode when you fire up the console.

Samsung is excited about its Smart TV platform, including the already announced news that iTunes movies and TV and Apple AirPlay 2 support are all included in the 2019 models and are coming to 2018 Samsung smart TVs through a future firmware update. What's more, the iTunes app will debut in over 100 countries, making it a global rollout. Furthermore, AirPlay 2 support support will be available on Samsung smart TVs in 190 countries throughout the globe.

Ambient Mode

Samsung is expanding upon its ambient mode concept, which is designed to make the TV blend into the decor, instead of being a big black hole in the wall when it's turned off. This includes an ability to blend into wall textures, as well as display information passively, such as time and whether plus headlines. It is also able to display photos and artwork.
