Ya know I really want a bigger size 4k TV than I have and I really don't want to spend the big bucks on the bigger make brands. If I see this at some point for 1,499 I might take a chance. What do I have to lose at that price.

If any of you new owners have not checked out The Dolby Channel, I highly recommend that you do so.

I'm trying to talk myself into not buying it. Even though I agree with you about the price. I have about $700 in gift cards and rewards points burning a hole in my pocket. I do though want to wait until June. I have a big birthday coming up at that time. By then most of the new sets should be on the market and well reviewed, and I will have a few more gift cards. Celebrating with a new TV is always fun.

That would be a nice gift, my birthday is also in June, the 21st. I will wait till a decent sale, like I said at 1,499 I might have to give it a try. I have a 55 inch 900E but want something much bigger. I wonder when Amazon will have these because there are good deals to find on there if you get an open box.

FWIW, I used to own a 65” 900E. I really liked it, but always wanted a bigger tv. I sold it to my cousin last year and picked up a 75” 2017 Vizio M for a steal. Never regretted going up in size.

As far as PQ, our bedroom TV is a TCL P605. Having lived with both the 900E and P605, I feel the two are equal in PQ. The PQ on the Vizio M is about 90-95% of the 900E, but the 10” increase is more than worth the trade off IMHO.

Had the 75” TCL 6 series been available, I would have bought it in a heartbeat @ the $1799 release price. TCL does an amazing job, IMHO. I’m still tempted to buy it, as my parents could use a newer TV, and I could give them my Vizio. But that’s a hard sell to my wife, lol

My humble main system:
Vizio M75-E1; Oppo 203 universal UHD player; Denon 4300H AVR, Dual PSA S1801's; Monitor Audio Silver RX-6 mains, RX center, and RX surrounds; one pair NHT mini Atmos speakers; Home-built HTPC (Xeon E1230, 16gb RAM, Crucial M500 480gb SSD, GeForce 980Ti, Corsair CX600, CoolerMaster mini-ITX case); Roku Premiere+; Amazon 4K Fire TV

Hmmm interesting. So you think I could get this year's Vizio M series in the largest size and be really happy and not miss the 900E?

Keep in mind I did this last year. The 2019 M series tops out at 65”, and the 2018 M series tops out @ 70”. I got the 2017 M series last year at a really nice closeout price.

If you have room for a 75” TV, there is no substitute for size. Based on my experience with the P605 and knowing the specs on the 75” TCL 6 series, I think it’s a no-brainer for the price range. FALD, 160 zones, brightness rivaling a 900F, Dolby Vision, Roku OS.

I think you would be thrilled with a 75” TCL 6 series. I think only the pickiest of videophiles would find it wanting (of course, there’s quite few of those here at AVS, lol). I wouldn’t mess with Vizio with the availability of the TCL 75” 6 series. Again, it’s the set I would have bought last year if it was available.

I noticed this morning that on the TCL site, they have changed the model from the BB version of 75R615 to the 75R617 version that Amazon and a few others sell. So keep your eyes open. Oh btw; they have it listed for $100 more.

Anyone have one that can confirm 60hz or 120hz native panel. Still leaning towards 60 but no one confirmed yet.

Easiest way hook up an xbox one x or a PC and see if the TV will accept a 120hz input from one of those devices if not no worries let us know what you think of your new toy thanks

Because I want to be able to connect my PC and PC game at 120fps need 120hz native panel to do that. As with xbox one x they will be coming out with games that run at 120 fps need 120 hz panel to do that as with the Sony 900f 120hz native horrible expensive at 2800 so I'm a pious to know if it's a problem I'll quit asking

so I am 48 hours in and very pleased. I was looking at the 85 900f but could not justify spending another 2500+ for 10 inches.
PQ looks very good and I havent changed a setting right out of the box?

Do all 120hz panels allow 120hz input? I thought many 120hz sets still only accept 60hz input?

You can order it from Roku. They have one specifically for ROKU TV, as opposed to the Roku streaming devices:

I'm curious, what about it do you hate?

I rarely ever used it on the 65' and now (somewhat) can't on the 75". I use the physical button on the TV to turn it on then the app (on my phone or old tablet) to do everything else.

One thing I really like about using the app is being able to control all Roku TVs in the house. The kids tend to blast their shows so it's nice being able to lower it from a different room. It's also convenient being able to pause their shows when when we need their full attention. You can control Roku devices as well but can't lower the volume.

Interesting i was under the impression that having a 120 panel meant the tv could internally display 120 fps but not necessarily that the inputs would allow or accept 120fps signal.

It seems all the impressions(5 till now) I have read for this TV( from this thread and bestbuy reviews) have been positive. I wonder if they have improved something in the 75 inch version. The 65 inch version was perhaps the worst panel lottery game that its owners ever played. The 75 is off to a good start.
