Please note that I chose BT.1886 Gamma, rather than 2.2, to deliver the shadow detail of 2.2 and the contrast punch of 2.4 - a very personal choice that may not shared by others (except perhaps SpectraCal http://www.spectracal.com/Documents/...rs/BT.1886.pdf ). This is best seen in the left hand, hair and head band of the girl in Netflix's "Test Patterns", by archimediatech.com, S1:E1... and smooth gradients in S4:E1 - YCbCr 10-bit Linearity Chart.
So:

Local Contrast ?
Dynamic Contrast - OFF
Backlight 20
Brightness 49
Contrast 100
Sharpness ?
Color ?
Tint ?

Here are all the TCL settings used during calibration:
TV brightness -> Dark (reset to Normal after calibration)
Picture size -> Auto
Picture mode -> Movie
Color temperature -> Warm
Backlight -> 28 (reset to 20 after calibration)
Brightness -> 49
Contrast -> 100
Sharpness -> 20
Color -> 45
Tint -> 0
Local contrast -> Off (reset to High after calibration)
Action Smoothing -> Off
Action Clarity -> Off
LED Motion Clarity -> Off

FYI... CMS corrections within 'Custom' Color Space appeared to offer little discernible difference in PQ over 'Auto' (unlike 'Native' iridescent Magenta).

I have a TCL 75r615 and want to calibrate the 11pt white balance and color space in the expert picture settings on the Roku app on my phone. Is there an easy or preferred method of doing that? I have an i1Display Pro, but I can't seem to measure those parameters using the i1 software. Anyone have any thoughts on how to do this? I have used the iPQ calibration app and it only seems to calibrate the brighter half of 11 point white balance, and doesn't touch the color space.

It almost seems like I just need to be able to see the R G and B numbers in a live reading on 11 gray swatches, and then again on RGBCMY swatches, but how?

This page is very helpful:

But,It is odd Roku offers this level of calibration, then just tells you to use "a colorimeter and a pattern generator (strongly recommended)" But nothing about how to use it or any recommendations.

I don't think so. TCL said they might bring it to select models this year, but I'd bet that will be the 75 QLED model.

Hi,
I have the 55r615-ca (6 series) version of this TV. That also has this problem.
I would strongly advise people using the Roku OS app to calibrate their TV,s to take a look on the Roku Tv community boards regarding this matter.
There app is broken you cannot calibrate any settings for HDR/DV settings, the only settings it effects is SDR.
This is a well known problem on many message boards for well over a year now, and Roku refuse to look into the problem.
