Yes. It’s a first-gen attempt. Second will likely have some refinements, additions, and fixes for a better price while new features will go to the newer, better 8 series. I’m ok with the trade off for value.

Happen to like TCL TVs as long as the panels are good. I’ve had success with all but 1 of mine.

Like the current 75” 6 series but expect the 2020 model will be even better.

I researched the the TCL on the web. Both 6 and 8 series are 2019. Show a creditable link that supports your statement.
Thank you

I don't think TCL has announced their USA/North American models exact specs, release dates, or pricing yet. Some info out there about other market models was released on March 5 or 6, but those sets are not US-bound. I'm looking forward to the 2020 model info too. Adding HDMI 2.1 ports is the most critical thing I want to see from TCL. Love the fact that they indicated mini-LED would be coming into the lower 5/6 tier models, but don't love that they didn't indicate the 75" and 85" sets clearly enough.

They will absolutely own the 85" market if they come in at better pricing than the Q825 models did.

Please provide links that support your "on march 5 or 6" info. I can say the moon is square. My job is to provide EVIDENCE to that fact. That is called credibility.

Use Google. That’s all I did. Googled TCL 2020 TV release dates. Foreign TV models already hitting marketing cycles. Evidence is there if you seek it. You can even include the dates to make it even easier.

I, too, believe in evidence. That’s why I looked it up.

YES, I researched the web. It does NOT take a rocket science PHD to do that. I also contacted TCL directly and they said to check:
