Mine is fine except for some HDR blooming into scope bars.

Nope...not even close!

Honestly, mine is 1000x better than those pics are showing. Actually, those pics look a fair bit worse than my Sony 900F and Z9F, which were both returned due to excessive blooming.

I get some blooming. It's mostly noticeable with HDR and letterbox bars. It's occasionally annoying but not the end of the world. If I had upgraded from any other tv but the Q9FN I would probably be completely satisfied.

Is there a recommended break-in period for these sets prior to calibration? Last time I had this done on my plasma I think I was told 100 hours.

the tv is in a pretty bright room with a lot of natural light
Try setting the picture mode to Standard, and the color space to Natural. That might give the pop you're looking for without crushing all your blacks in Natural mode.

with standard mode, put the dimming on high and gamma at +3. I found gamma needed to be +3 to match my Q9FN i had next to it.

1 more option for a super bright picture. on movie mode, put the dimming on high and it will make the picture look weird. then put contrast enhancer on low and it'll correct it but this gives a super bright image.

So you threw away the metric bolt pack that came with old mount? I do not know the bolt size but they are probably a M6 or M8 course/standard thread, NOT fine. The lenth is the question, these bolts can be found at the home depot

The delivery is not a joke, its just Samsung over sell's the delivery. I mentioned earlier, even though you pay for a two man white glove, expect one guy and you are the second guy. You could refuse delivery and say you want what you paid for or roll with it and get her done, get a refund for the Second guy from Samsung.

Anyone here using the Hulu Live Tv package? I’m thinking of switching off cable cause the quality just sucks on the 75”. Well that and going through the OCB and using ARC is causing some lip syncing issues and that drives me nuts.

I have Hulu, Netflix, and Prime Video with Netflix so far being the best quality on this Tv for SDR. I’ve been trying the Spectrum TV app as well and while it’s far better than cable direct, it still isn’t great.

The default audio delay for ARC within the Q90R menus is 100 ms (I believe), I needed to turn it close to 0 ms to get it to synch.

Could somebody share his experience with programming Harmony Remote for Q90R?

So far I'm fighting windmills, all I need is to turn TV ON and show OTA channel. I'm not even mentioning color buttons, that's another mystery.

I called Costco.com and asked about buying an extended warranty. They conferenced in Square Trade, who confirmed that I could buy an extended warranty from Costco even though I purchased the TV from Samsung. I was told that I needed to purchase the extended warranty within 30 days of the date that I purchased (not received) the TV. There was some confusion about how the warranty would work in conjunction with the 2 year extended warranty offered by Visa/Costco.

Samsung's website states the following regarding White Glove Delivery:

"Samsung is pleased to offer white glove delivery service on select television models. White glove delivery service includes:

• Delivery of your TV by trained professionals
• Placing the television into any accessible room in your home that you specify;
• Removal of the television from its packaging;
• Assembly of included television stand (if applicable);
• Placement of the TV on your A/V furniture. (Please be sure your furniture is assembled and ready in advance.)
• Connecting the television to a power supply and verifying that the television can be powered on
• Removal of the packaging debris from your home

Please note that white glove delivery does NOT include assembly of any audio/video furniture, wall mounting or installing the television. The connection of any audio or video sources to the television, and/or removal of old televisions from your home is also not included with this service."

Since one delivery person would not be able to safely perform all these steps, I am going to insist that there are at least two delivery people present. I plan to contact AGS to confirm there will be at least two delivery folks.

I wonder what services are included with normal shipping.

Here is a link to Costco Online's web page that specifically states for purchases from Costco or Costco Online.

Here are quotes from their webpage:

•Each Plan Covers 1 Item Only

Product Details

Costco Members may purchase SquareTrade protection plans for new TVs bought from a Costco warehouse or Costco.com.

TV and protection plan must be purchased within 90 days of purchasing the TV in a Costco warehouse or from Costco.com.

2 months ago their webpage stated you could buy from any authorized dealer. It no longer says that.

I quoted you to get your attention - I have bought a number of TV's from Cleveland Plasma - what a great buying experience.
Bought a 65 Inch Q9FN from you with a 40 foot One Connect cable.

Question - is the One connect cable same for the Q90R as the Q9FN - I am thinking of going bigger and replacing the Q9FN.

Thanks in advance

I estimated the date change for the website from another post I had read on 6/13/19, the website showed the new policy.

What do you see when you go to their website now?

Unfortunately it's not the same cable, and there are 2 different cables depending on what size TV you go with.

According to the menu the audio sync only works with SPIDF. Is that true? Cause Im not using it

Hi ion,
Under the settings menu on the Q90r, go to sound, then verify that sound is getting outputted to receiver hdmi, then open expert settings and there is "Digital audio output delay". Try 0 and see if it solves your lip sych issue. If not you'll need to play around with both the delay settings from the TV, and from the receiver.
For me, (denon avr-x43000h) I set both to 0 and don't have any synch issues.
good luck
