The online update on TV never seems to find updates for me. The same was the case today, so I did it via USB.

As usual, not a very helpful description.

Looking like just a minor update.

(Praying for the day when we get updated 8K apps...)

I thought it looked great also! Wish it was in HDR for me, but still impressed. I think the upscaling is amazing on this set, though I have yet to watch any old dvd's

I could not agree more. It was amazing. The most impressive scenes were those with the dark sky and fireworks.

Yes, looked great on my 82" - streamed from Comcast XFinity box. Those saps that spent upwards of $2500 for seats at the game and paid silly food prices should have just come to my house - home made buffalo wings, meatball subs on Hawaiian rolls, fresh brownies, etc. I could have charged much less for good field level seats!!!

How did you get 4K from a cable box? And why would I eat a chicken's wing?

I don't know about Comcast but Fios broadcasted the game in 4k on a special channel. IT looked really really good.

I prefer buffalo wings, chicken wings are too small.

If you have a 4K box you can just say 4K into the remote's microphone. It will take you to a 4K dashboard and there you can select the special channel 4K material will be on.

That's making it all about money. Watching the Masters on this TV is one (good) thing, being there quite another.

For the price of two Super Bowl tickets, travel and lodging arrangements, food, etc, I would say getting a pricey TV and being able to enjoy it for far longer than a weekend, more than makes up for not being there.

We only have a 65" but it was fantastic to view in 4K UHD.

Again all about money (and a hint of envy) which does not even matter when you can do both. Ask me how i know.

Well I guess that guy they showed taking the most expensive nap at the Super Bowl had money to burn. LOL

Envy not. Just a little more cautious with my spending, and keeping spouse happy.

Hello, long time lurker here.

I just wanted to come here and say updated my 75" Q900RB and the 1351.3 update to my eyes seems to have improved upscaling of some of the lower resolution sources that I watch.
I have everything on default Movie mode minus Auto Motion Plus and I've been seeing way cleaner visuals in faces and with clothing watching Netflix and Hulu sources.

I put in my 1080p Blu-Ray of The Devil Wears Prada which is notoriously not a very clear transfer, and watching it after the update made it appear much sharper and detailed.

Don't know if it's just me, but thought I'd share!

Does anyone have a good email address with Samsung where we can make the request that the internal apps be updated to 8K on the 2019 sets?

I'm just back from a vacation and I was surprised to see how much the blacks are deeper with this update too (watched 47 meters down uncaged).
I'll test Netflix to see if they totally fixed the dimming zones recurrent and distracting problem but there was none in that movie.

My 72” Q900R’s version 1351 update just showed up on my tv and after the update I can tell a difference. It seems as if the frame rate increased on 4K from Xfinity cable box. It was more jittery before. I haven’t watch actual 4K content directly from the apps on the tv but will be soon.

Hoping someone can help me out here or have some experience with this issue. Bought a 75" Q900R a month ago and once hooked up i was having an HDCP error when passing through my denon AVRX4300H. The display would only show 1080P due to the hdcp error. Went direct to the tv and the problem goes away but i lose my atmos and DTSX this way.
Any help orninaight would be greatly appreciated.

RyMu88: What is your source device? The Denon is fully HDCP 2.2 compatible so it should work.

What TV did you have before? Was it 4K? What is the source for what you are trying to view? Did it play 4K? Which input are you using on the TV for the Denon AVR versus when you test directly? What type of HDMI cable are you using for the device to Denon, and the Denon to TV connection? Is the Input Signal set to plus for the TV input connected to the Denon receiver?

You might want to post this question in the Denon forum for your model year.

Has Samsung started shipping these display with the updated 2.1 HDMI one connect boxes? Saw on Samsung forums that you can order the latest 2.1 one connect boxes last month.

Planning to ditch my 65" C8 OLED and give it to my mom. Been using it for my gaming and rendering rig, but can't stand the auto-hide taskbar and the constant fluctuation of brightness inherent with the burn-in preventative measures. Also saw some faint early signs of burn in too. After learning the CGI software I'm using can render in 8k and the fact I got 2 RTX 2080 TI for 8K gaming, I thinking of getting the 75" version.

Looking for feedback from gamers that have 2080Ti's also.

The TV I had before was a samsung ju7100. The source im trying to view is a samsung 4k player (UBD K8500). I also have a ps4 pro and an apple tv 4k which work seamlessly through my denon receiver. The 4k player to the tv works fine but as soon as i put something in between something doesnt jive with the hdcp. Found my player has 2 hdmi out so i was able to find a workaround for the audio issue but i recently purchased the philips hue hdmi sync box (which is stated to be hdcp 2.2 compatible) and after the first day i lost compatability. Same with the receiver, after 1 day it stopped working but worked fine for at least 1 movie. I just bought brand new cables ( Austere V, probably a pricey gimmick but im desperate to figure this out.)

Try resetting the HDMI HDCP. The early posts in the Denon AVR threads have instructions for doing this process. It essentially involves full powering down, disconnecting cables, reconnecting, and the starting up in a specific sequence. See your model's thread.

I can try that, although i have bypassed the reciever and am now having the issue passing through the philips hdmi sync box. With the second hdmi output on the 4k player i was able to rectify the original issue and didnt need to pass video through the reciever.

I am using Movie mode with my 900, and it seems to be just the right level of brightness. I tried Standard as others seem to think is best and found it looked really dark. I am using Standard in the Color space setting however, having changed from Movie 2, which seemed a bit too warm.

I don't recall all my other advanced settings, but I believe I have backlight at 18. Increasing that does not seem to help with the darkness of Standard mode.

I started out using Standard mode, too, and managed using other controls to get what I thought was a pretty nice picture. However, some 4k pictures looked really bad -- both low brightness and high brightness areas were dim. So I switched to Movie mode to fix that problem.
