I changed Contrast Enhancer to OFF because it was crushing blacks when I was dialing in HDR settings for Gears 5. I kinda miss the punchy contrast & brightness, but I value shadow detail a bit more.
Not sure about your audio problem. I'm running everything through a Denon 4400 AVR. For Picture, I'm not getting black crush while playing Gears 5. If I turn Contrast Enhancer off, my picture is too dark. I don't play in Game Mode.
Most probably won't like my settings, but they look great to me for HDR games and 4K Blu-rays. I still tweak things here and there, but I've settled on these so far. I'd be interested to try settings others use to see how it looks to my eyes.
This is settings for HDR (My SDR settings are a little similar):
Picture Mode: Standard
Digital Clean View: Auto
Auto Motion Plus: Custom / Blur Reduction: 10 / Judder Reduction: 5 / LED Clear Motion Off
Local Dimming: High
Contrast Enhancer: Low
Color Tone: Standard
White Balance: Default
Gamma: ST.2084 set at 0
Color Space Settings: Native (have to set to custom to change Color Gamut to DCI and then change back to Native)
Color Gamut: DCI-P3
I believe all the number values for the colors are still the default settings.
I have all Eco options off.
My settings for Gears 5's in-game HDR settings:
HDR Brightness: 1,200
The Color Space being set to Native shows some slight red tints on faces here and there on SDR content on Netflix, since the Netflix app on consoles forces HDR for all content -- even old SDR shows. Like some faces on 'That 70's Show'.
