Was in Costco tonight and was able to see their new 75" Q7D (Q seven-"D", get it lol). It was next to the Q6D (65"). Both had amazing picture quality, but the FALD on the 7D looked better than the edge lit 6D, contrast was better, blacks were deeper, and was brighter.

I just got the 55" Q70 and love it. . . mostly. One issue/question that may just be a setting issue: Even in a dark room, some darker scenes are hard to make out on my television. I have maxed out the brightness and turned off ambient mode. Still, some darker scenes are difficult to make out. Anyone with a similar issue and/or suggestion for a fix? Thank you.

Just ordered mine to replace a Sony 6 series that died during the Best Buy extended warranty. I’m sure this will be an upgrade but wish there were some 60 in options out there still.

Had to go with the 55 due to space restrictions. Will be delivered on Saturday. Looking forward to getting it set up.

You're probably the first person I've seen on any of the new Samsung qled threads that use Dynamic mode. If I were you I would try Standard instead.

Members don't let other members use the Dynamic mode!!!!

Very inaccurate colors. Try the Standard or Natural modes. The Movie mode is a bit dim, so anyone who picked the Dynamic mode won't like that.

Silly question - but how do you know that HDR is active? I was watching our planet on netflix and clicked on the info digital button. It showed that it was streaming at 2160p but didn't have any info about HDR.

Does anyone have measurements of the 75" box, trying to determine if it will fit in my car?

Hey. How do you like the 82 inch so far? I purchased a 65, but thinking of selling it and buying the 82 inch one.

Anyone compare this to the Sony X950G? Any DSE issues or dark corners? Some of the Sony reviewers said the dark corners are noticeable.

I dig the 82 inch screen, it is very nice. No complaints here, the more use it gets the better it gets it seems.

If you decide to upgrade to the 82, you will not regret it.

Hey guys

Im on the market for a 82Q70R,just saw the tv at dealer today all good.
Samsung is offering better deals this year from my opinion.
I just sold my 82NU8000 which had some terrible clouding DSE and stuff in dark room so I’m done with edge led screens.

Could someone get us a feedback if any issues for the 82Q70r in a pitch black room with SDR & HDR content plz?

Thank you!

black levels and brightness

Can anyone comment on black levels some other reviews are saying blooming is very noticeable compared to the q8fn. thanks. im also reading that brightness is far less than the q8fn and the q80r if anyone can confirm thanks.

Perhaps I’m counting wrong....In a dark room there is a very distinct shift between zones, almost a flash if you will....perhaps I’m counting wrong but I did the test multiple times and continually came up with 4x14. Anyone else done the test on a 75”?

Anyone with the 82", could you please run this test and see how many dimming zones ?

I have really no issues with this 82 in the dark. My living room where it sits is mostly blacked out from any light most the time.

Screen uniformity is pretty good here.

You had an edge lit 82 inch tv, your going to be in for a nice surprise buying a 82 inch fald.

Have mine all set up. Still dialing it in to my preferences. Fantastic picture! Big upgrade from my old Sony. There are a couple apps missing for some reason. Plex is no where to be found even though I know the app exists.

I thought I had read about the specs that it had a tuner. When I hook up my indoor HD antenna though and go to settings, Broadcasting is grayed out and I can’t select it. Did I misread the specs and is it missing that feature.

Guys

Another thing, did u experience some local dimming delays on ur Q70r’s ? Seems like flatpanelshd noticed this issue on the Q8FN last year.
I am european so I watch all movies with subtitles,is the blooming on it bearable?
Thanks

Forget about the 950G in 75 & 85,it has xtra viewing angle which decrease dramatically the contrast.
Q80 has 96zones and xtralarge viewing angle,I would go for the Q70 as long as u sit dead center
