Update of current Sony

Our Sony 4K XBR55X930E has performed flawlessly. Is there sufficient reason to consider purchase of a newer model? If so what? Everyday use with occasional DVR.

Sony 4K XBR55X930E, Sony 4K UBPX800 Blu-Ray Player, Sony HTST 5000 SoundBar, DirecTV 4K HS17 w/2 Mini Genies, Panamax MR5100 Power Manager, Harmony Elite Remote, Monoprice Cables

Unless your ready for a larger TV 75" , then I see no reason to purchase a new set. The X930E is a great TV!

No. I also have an X930E and recently decided to move the X930E to my family room to replace an older plasma, as the X930E is better suited for this room because of its larger size, higher brightness, and burn-in resistance. To replace the X930E, I ordered an A9G (OLED), as I found that there are no LCDs on the market significantly better than the X930E and wanted to try something different. I think you will be disappointed if you replace the X930E with another LCD because the improvement in performance (or potential downgrade) will be far too small to justify the expense.

I had a X930E that performed really well for 6 months then the screen started flashing. After dealing with Sony CS for about 2 weeks, they sent me a check for the full amount I paid. The set was under warranty. That was on December 2018. Immediately I purchased one of the last 65Z9D from Best Buy. The Z9D is just a bit better than the X930E but the X930E had ZERO DSE. If your X930E is performing well, I would stay put unless you find a Z9D for a reasonable price or go with a Sony A9G OLED.
