If you look at the specs it is natural motion 480 which should be a 120Hz panel. The 6 series is listed as clear motion 120 which is a 60 Hz panel. Please don't jump to conclusions at this point...

Looking at the specs on the 8 series listed on their page things so far don't look good as far as HDMI 2.1 enhancements other than "auto game mode". There is no EARC listed . I searched to the user manual but they do not have it up yet that I can find. I hope they just left it out of the specs list on website.

On most issues you can find "sources" to say almost anything imaginable. A lot of that is pure speculation so what's important is to assess the credibility of the source. It would help if everyone making claims about things like native panel refresh rate would specifically cite their sources. In this specific case the most credible information from the most credible source was referenced earlier in this thread and no one has yet cited conflicting data from a more credible source:

Went ahead and ordered the 625 from Electronic Express as they are local and supposedly their home delivery will unbox, turn on and inspect for damage before leaving. No word yet when it will arrive. On a plus side, EE gives a 5% discount for new customers...so basically TV is 759 + tax + free shipping (with their "Home Delivery" service). Can't beat that...hoping the experience is better this 2nd time around.

So does anyone who has the R625, or even last years version, find that the 60hz native panel causes any sort of motion problems for them? Wether in gaming or movies?

Thanks didn't realize they had some in stock. I laughed a bit that they show the regular price at $1299 with it crossed out, not sure where they pulled that number. Either way nice to see stock being filled in stores.

I have both a 55r615, and a 75r615. No motion issues. I watch movies, sports and regular TV shows via Directv, OTA and Youtube TV. I also have watched quite a few movies via 4K Blu-ray.

24p looks more cinematic because of that flickering. It's like viewing a bunch of still, crisp images (presuming you're following at least the 180 degree rule). At least to most people, anyway. I personally hate the soap opera effect, but it does look more like real life.

Would definitely be a bummer. While I think most people don't actually need 120 Hz for gaming or movie watching, it definitely helps in faced paced media like sports and would be a shame to not have. Though certainly not all of motion performance is tied to the panel refresh rate.

Also, don't jump to conclusions like CNET did with the 2018 6-Series, where they reported the 75" had a 120 Hz panel, which happened to have Natural Motion 480 by the way.

I'm still hoping that the AVS Editor is correct and it is 120 Hz though.

Will Sams Club carry the 6 and 8 series and do they extend the warranty like Costco?

1080p gaming at 120Hz is very real, computers can do it, and 120Hz panel TV's can display it.

But yes, the 24p film aspect is even more important IMO.

Some do, but probably not all. I certainly wouldn't just assume that any TV can run at 24 or 48 Hz unless it's written in the specs or manual.

Most current sets do, with the exception of some low-end Samsungs. 3/2 pulldown hasn't been a major issue for quite some time now.

I believe he's referring to specific models, like the Hisense H9F. 120 Hz panel that doesn't accept 120 Hz input, which is quite disappointing

As for 24p, we're in a TCL thread and last year's models handled it fine without 120 Hz

Best Buy now allows you to add the 75" 8-series to your cart (Nov. 4th delivery).

Mine says as soon as Nov. 12. Weird that the 8 first and not the 6. Hopefully theres not going to be stock issues with the 6.

Is there going to be a new 75" 6 series coming out ? If so, when ?

Right now they have only officially debuted the 55 and 65. Someone said 75 next year but not sure if that was just speculation.

The 6 series is back in stock at Amazon and ready to ship.

Its been in stock by beach camera and now electronics express. But I haven't seen it back in stock directly through amazon.

The 55” is back directly through amazon now.

Edit. Never mind. 55” is prime but not direct from amazon. Pulled the trigger. Fingers crossed

It shows it in stock.

Yeah, but like the previous guy said, this is not being sold directly from Amazon. You're paying and being sent the TV from Electronics Express. People have had varying degrees of success from them.

When I put it in my cart, it doesn't show that is being sent from another vendor. It says it is in stock with Amazon.

Mine shows when added to cart its from electronic express..55 or 65..
