crunch time. Vizio PX vs Samsung Q70?

time to whip out the credit card for Cyber Mon. I think it's down to these 65" models, since I can't justify spending $2k on an LG C9 OLED. What's the word?

I don't know how close the prices are, but if you have a bright room then it seems the Vizio is a real winner with amazing peak brightness. (I have a 82" Q70R and the brightness is fine in a dark room but I do wish it had higher peak HDR brightness)

I chose the Vizio. For my purposes it was an easy choice and I would have even chosen it over the Q80R. We watch a ton of movies from streaming services and blu-ray and the great color, contrast, dynamic range, and brightness are what I appreciate. I even prefer the slightly warm bias of the Vizios out-of-the-box "calibrated" preset over what others would consider more accurate.

The Vizio was $999 from Costco for black-Friday I'm sure it'll be available for that price somewhere. If you read through the PQX owners thread it looks like this TV is a nightmare for a lot of people but I must have been lucky because I have great uniformity and have had no issues, whatsoever.
