That's a 600$ saving, that'll cover a next Gen system too. Alright I'll take the plunge. The site for the 3 warranty also boasts the first 2 years covered by the concierge so a total of 5 years still.

Will Costco carry the 900H models?

I can confirm with my current Sony 900F, it also shows 5 years of total coverage even though I didn't buy it from Costco.

Weird is that on the official Square Trade website it has a 2 year and 4 year option and with an increasing warranty price depending on the TV range price. But on the Costco version of the square trade warranty it's just 99$ for the 3 year. What gives?

I guess it was in the cards for me to get the 75” 900H. After a while deliberating with myself if I should spend the extra money and get the 900H for the living room TV which the kids would use mostly and I would watch football and fights on, I decided on the 900F instead since the motion would be good (for my purposes) and the price was right at $1699. The 900H was still $2499 when I made the decision...
...Fast forward to today. This is the day I receive my 900F from amazon. Just two days prior my brother in law received his 75” Q90R with a cracked screen. So I instructed the delivery guys to stay with me as I open the box to check for any damage, and low and behold received a damaged screen on the top right corner and down the middle. So I refused delivery, and they took it back. Now the prices for the 900H are about $600 dollars more than the 900F I just returned, and I’m getting about $600 this pay check for hazard pay. So the difference is covered and I’m excited as f*ck to get the new and improved TV for my living room needs and it will be able to handle my PS5 gaming at the end of the year. Thanks to the universe for working this out for me. Haha

VE recently did a shootout between an LG and Sony OLED. The LG had a problem with red in the corner. If on the 900H that redness isn't defeatable, then I may have to wait for next year.

For those of you looking at the Squaretrade warranty from Costco, do you know if those coverage price ranges are for the MSRP or total price (with tax)? The 55" X900H is just a bit under the $1K warranty if not including tax and a bit over with tax.

Do we know if this is a permanent modification to MSRP? Some of the retailers seem to list these as sale prices.

I’m hoping it’s the actual prices going forward. Think they won’t move at the MSRPs.

Fairly certain it is price before tax.

You have to file a receipt with a claim. They will cover the purchase price. Tax and shipping are excluded. It’s in every one of their documents and on the ST site in the Q&A. They ignore MSRP completely and are most interested in what you paid for the actual set.

Looks like this might be a good fit for my needs. Looking for an 85" TV and the current price drop seems like a great deal for that size. Anyone know if this will be available at Costco or Sams Club? I see it on Amazon. Also, is there a slim mount for the 85" size? Looks like the one available on Amazon is for Sony TV's up to 75".

I really wanted to wait on Vizio to see what their 85" TV would look like and pricing but they seem to be silent about release dates at the moment. I have already put this purchase off for 18 months waiting on the "next best thing" and I realize that is a never ending cycle. I need to pull the trigger on something.

I'm leaning towards the Kanto FMX-700 mount. I'd rather have sturdy and full-articulating than slim. Can't stand the remote possibility of an 85" TV crashing down.

If you buy a feature-loaded model from Costco or Sam's Club, be careful. The model number may be the same, but a feature or two could have been quietly removed. I won't be surprised if they omit the ATSC 3.0 tuner.

Costco is very different from Sam's Club. Sam's Club often gets the same TVs set aside for Walmart due that that relationship. Costco has been a premium seller for Vizio since Vizio's rise in TV sales and has sold only fully featured sets unless they specifically note that it's a version made for sale only through warehouse sellers.

Yeah, I have had fully articulating mounts before thinking I would pull it away from the wall all the time and at every conceivable angle. That rarely if ever happened though. My situation might be different in that the main hallway leading to the den approaches the side of the TV so I want it as close to the wall as possible and this is already a relatively thick TV by modern standards.

I've had tilt-only. The engineering of the FA mounts has gotten to a point that they're thin enough to be worth the need to move if only occasionally. Plus, they're much more forgiving when it comes to mounting/centering given that not all studs are built in the middle of walls/window casings where many TVs get mounted.

If you're looking for thin tilt-only mounts, might take some searching to dial it into your exact need. Good luck though.

Well, my grand plan was to wait for this price drop to then see a price drop on the 900f (hoping for around 2,000 or 2,250).

The problem is, the 900f is now GONE! No more at Best Buy or Amazon.
Hmmmm, may have to wait for a used one or pony up and get the 900h.

Anyone else who also had their mind set on the 900f?

Switching gears. Someone mentioned the Kanto FMX700 (I assume they ment the PMX700) it is about $250. Wouldn't the "Monoprice EZ Series Full-Motion Articulating TV Wall Mount Bracket for TVs 60in to 100in, Max Weight 176 lbs" do the trick, and do it well based on reviews, for $80? I don't want to take chances with a new TV but it gets good reviews. Am I being penny wise and pound foolish?

Thanks,
Michael M.

Amazon actually has 1 left (maybe returned as yesterday they had 0). Still, the price didn't go down . . . still $2,500 so for $200 I would go 900h.
I guess it was wishful thinking to hope for more like 2K.

Both prices are extremely low for mid tier Sony TV's.

I'm the one who mentioned the Kantos. They have the FMX-3 (retail and not as fancy but similar actual mechanism) and PMX700. I just missed on both. I've had a Monoprice mount. It was functional, but just didn't look good so I sold it. If it's going to be in a place where you'll never see the mount or cables, the MonoP is ok. If it's in a room where it can ever be seen, the Kanto PMX700 just looks better and is worth it IMO. Can't stand looking at something that looks so mechanical in my living room.

Yeah that one isn't bad. I see that it covers both 16 and 24 inch studs. Not sure what the Monoprice one does.

The biggest difference is that the Kanto's are super easy to mount. Parts have been clearly labeled and multiple options. The Monoprice very much felt like the old Cheetah brand mount I use in my garage.

XH9005 - is that the UK version ? does that version (9005) allow to put the feet closer to the centre ?

in fact - is there any XH90/X900H version model that doesnt allow to put feet closer together ?

XH9005 / XH9077 / XH9096 / XH9288 / XH9299
^ what are the differences ?
