Where are release dates coming from? I've scoured the web and I still haven't found a release date anywhere.

It appears the stand in North America is NOT a two way metal stand after all...

NOTICE: That is for their 85" Model.....may be different for smaller models?

QUESTION: If you could buy the LG 65" CX for about same price as the SONY 75" X900H, WHAT would U choose?

Being a avid gamer and a fan of Sony's build quality I chose the X900H.

Is there a possibility that they chose to only illustrate the location they think most will use? Sony has gone to some lengths lately to promote the legs two-location feature. Seems odd that they would undo all that so quickly.

Could be wrong, afterall this is the electronics industry we're talkin' 'bout.

I would like nothing more than for the stands to be two-way. The furniture that I want to put the television on is 62 inches wide with cove edge. If the television turns out to be a one-way stand then I'll have to replace the top of the furniture...

I don't think you can tell either way from those two pages of assembly instructions. They don't even touch on the stand in there. Worse comes to worse, though, you could grab a VESA stand (floor or table standing).

That's Sony Europe. However, in the web page they say this double-width stand is only for the XH92 model, and the 85" is ONLY a XH90 model. The contradiction is yet to be explained. No info about other differences between the two models (specs are not listed yet in the web page).

Best buy canada doesn't have the 900H on the website anymore. There weekly flyer runs Friday through Thursday and the website updates prices every Friday. 2 weeks ago, the 900H popped up as available for pre order soon. This morning Its not even listed. Is this the way best buy USA website works too or can products pop up and change price on any given day?

I contacted Sony because the legs where they are would not work on my stand...BUT...they answered back that the legs cannot be moved inward.
This means that IF I go with the 75" I need too purchase and Stand w Base.....which will cost around $50

Thanks for taking the time to get that info. Still hoping that customers will have a choice for leg positioning. We'll just have to wait and see. Stay safe.

The 900H for the motion handling, shadow detail, and no burn-in issues to be concerned about (no more scolding hubby . )

edit: correct 900F to 900H

Is the 900H going to give me a lot more for my money than the Samsung Q90T? The lack of dolby vision is pulling me back from buying the more expensive Samsung but I know Sony usually has significantly more blooming.

The reason I'd rather have this tv is because my priorities are maintaining shadow detail well, color accuracy, motion handling, and dolby vision.

edit: I just watched hdtvtest's review of the Q90R again. The problems are the same problems Samsung has always had, with the most offensive being they always shoot for high luminance, even if it exceeds reference, and results in crushed blacks/shadow details. Another problem with Samsung is undefeatable processing (cannot be turned off). In the past this resulted in all sorts of issues, and last year the issue was color accuracy. Of the many years I've been an AVS Forum member, Samsung has always had this approach, which results in issues I find unacceptable.

Sony has already been exposed for lying about the hardware present in several TVs. The X900H is no exception, and neither is the X950H. Both have full HDMI 2.1 mainboards in the TVs. They are taking a ton of heat from angry customers right now for lying, and they deserve it.

Another thing to consider, I spent BIG Bucks for Sammy's "Flagship" 65" Q9FN [2018] Not only NO Dolby Vision, NO Dolby Atmos, and w NO DTS Support, had to bypass connecting up things to the expensive TV....had too go HDMI Direct into the AVR to get more than 2 Channel Sound. Samsung LOST a Customer....my previous 4 TV's were made by them!

A ton of heat? What is that exactly, since those of us in forums like this actually represent a very tiny portion of the market, how many had access to the specifications of the motherboard and raised their expectations base on that rather than advertisements or reviews? Aren't they the ones who generate that "ton heat from angry customers"?

They don't, or didn't, advertise, or sell the tvs based on the motherboards. Did they? No, they don't even include that information on their sales pages at the site. Does that information come in a paper owner's manual, or what? What promises were made that haven't been kept to make them the liars you claim? Did you base purchases on assumptions derived from unadvertised glittery things?

I'll admit though, they've occasionally been kind of slow with their promised updates, and there are several associated with this model, however, they do eventually come through.

Hard to compare the Q90R to a Q90T. They are different tv's.
